Mary Jane is coming. She will appear, just not yet.

I bet they are building up to that famous "Face it, Tiger. You just hit the jackpot." moment.

Jack Kirby was a horrible, horrible Spider-Man artist. Check out when he redrew ASM #1 for an FF annual, he no do very good job. If you were going to name it after someone, Ditko would be the obvious choice, given the art style.

Speaking of which, love the heavy, heavy Ditko influence.

The Gwen in Spectacular Spidey is my fav Gwen. Ever. No lie. I don't want her to die in this series. She likes Peter but I'm guessing she doesn't have the confidence to tell him despite their good friendship. Anyone else catch the look on Gwen's face when Peter was talking to Liz at the eel tank? Bet she wanted to dump that cheerleader in there. :evilsmile

I think MJ looks good. I heard at another forum she was actually on the bus Gwen got on in the first ep. Another easter egg. I should make a list of all the easter eggs in the eps 1-2.

Speaking of MJ, I can't wait til she shows up. Will add even more drama and we'll get to see more of Gwen's feelings for Peter begin to show.

I wonder if MJ will find out that Peter is Spider-Man. This is something I've been wanting to see used in an animated version of Spidey. The '90s version didn't count because she was a clone.

Man, I almost hate the fact that Eddie is gonna become Venom. He and Peter are such good friends. I wonder just what will happen that will cause their friendship to erode.

Oh and I've heard from a few posters at different forums say aunt May is "hot."

Do you guys think they would kill Gwen off in a "kids" cartoon too??
It is a huge part of Spidey's history though, and the guilt that drives him.

Well, Weisman did kill the Graysons on Batman. Not quite the same thing, true, but it's in the neighborhood.

Wow, that was really, really good. The no pupils thing was a bit wierd but I loved everything else to death.

Marvel finally pumps out a top tier cartoon show. Who'd-a thunk it? I love all the other heroes in the background, too. That's cool stuff.
Did Wonder Woman and Superman just catch an aircraft carrier?

I gotta around to watching the new episodes yesterday, and it seems pretty good thus far.

And it's nice to have Spidey's fists actually make contact with the villains.

oh yah, that was my bigest gripe with the old cartoon,he never really fought anyone, besides the lizard, and a punch in scorpion in the first ep.

The old series was censored to hell and back.

Hell the new origins for Vulture and Electro were pretty good.

Almost, but not quite, like how Batman The Animated Series revamped some of their villains, such as Mr. Freeze and Clayface.

Again, not as good, but almost.

I really want them to line up some comic writers eventually. The DC cartoons did it all the way back to Batman: The Animated Series and continuing with JLU.

    And again, they were great.

Who would you want to see on the cartoon?

I think Dan Slott (even though I didn't like his issues of Amazing) might be good, and you know Kirkman has been itching to write Spider-Man.
