It collects the full Harbinger origin story (Harbinger #0-6) for the first time
Typo. The HC collects up to issue 7, not 6 :)

I have the originals, so the wait is still on for some new material from VEI.

Consider that the hardcovers do contain new stories that may not be reprinted later.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound down on the return of Valiant. I'll be first in line when new issues come out, I've already bought the Harbinger HC and would definitely pick up a new Unity HC, but I just hope there's more in store than just reprinting/recoloring existing work with a few extra teaser pages.

I'm pretty sure there is, we just have to be patient.

We waited 10 years, we can wait a little longer, heh.

I agree with the previous posters. I too am dying for the return of Valiant, but most of us have the original source material for these hardcovers already. Yes there is a short new story but they'll probably be collected later on somewhere else down the road.

    Don't count on it.

Nicieza's VH 2 did an original serial in Previews called "Starting Over" that was never reprinted.

    Never assume ;)

Question. What is the status of Valiant? I thought Aclaim bought them out or something; back when they turned all of their titles into crap. Who owns these characters now?

I'd love to see Ninjak return.

While I'm at it, who owns the Crossgen characters?

    Last question first

Disney owns the Crossgen characters, and currently Checker Books is doing tradepaperbacks of some Crossgen comics.

The VALIANT characters are owned by VALIANT Entertainment Inc, and you can check out what they're doing with them at their website, www.valiantentertainment.com

Visit the http://valiantfans.com message board and ask if someone there can show you the Starting Over scans. I know someone posted them awhile ago, but I don't recall in which thread
