    Default Marvel Power Levels

    http://www.marvel.com/universe/Spider_Woman

Take a look at this link if you will.
Does anybody remember Marvel Trading cards from the Early 90's with these same grids? You had to be as strong as the Hulk or have the fighting skills of Iron Fist to even get a 7. I collected those cards like a packrat, and still have quite a few.

Now I'm to be told that Spiderwoman is that strong, fast, smart, durable, possesses so much martial prowess and can fire off such huge energy blasts that she's all 7's and puts the Super in Superhero.

Weigh in on this one please.

Woah, thats really weird. Someone must have hacked onto the "offical rankings" or something. They say in the same entry that her strength is 7 tons. Huh.

Marvel's site managers in my opinion have a automatic default setting when a new entry is added and hence when a new character is added all its stats are by default set to the highest grades. I doubt those official rankings are official at all and not because I dislike Spider-Woman, but because I highly doubt anything other than her sex appeal is at max stats.
Rogue and Bishop's daughter would be called Discharge, and she'd touch people and drain all or some of their bioelectrical energy out of them causing them to either die or fall unconscious. She could then use this energy to extend her own life, heal herself, enhance her physical abilities (speed, strength, stamina,) or discharge it as various energy beams.

    Ah, Marvel's notorious "power grids".

Ignore them. There's something screwy with the entire system and it's never been fixed. The grids are always changing - come back and look again in a week or two and they'll be different again. Sometimes they'll even change daily and with no rhyme or reason.

Occassionally they'll look "correct", then a week later they'll be subtly different, then another day totally out o' whack.

Most, if not all of those 'power rankings', are rubbish.

I used to play the Marvel RPG from the '80s, and it used a basic format:

Fighting, Agility, Strength, Endurance, Reason, Intuition, and Psyche. (FASERIP)

    Levels were:

    (we'll use Strength for examples)

    FE: Feeble (below average)
    TY: Typical (average)
GD: Good (average or slightly above)
EX: Excellent (much better than normal, not exactly superhuman; Captain America)
RM: Remarkable (lift about 1-10 tons; Luke Cage, Spider Woman)
IN: Incredible (lift about 10-40 tons; Spider-Man, Wrecking Crew members)
AM: Amazing (lift about 40-60 tons; Rogue, Firelord)
MN: Monstrous (lift about 60-85 tons; Colossus, Thing, Namor)
UN: Unearthly (lift about 85-125 tons; Hulk, Thor, Hercules)

Shift X (150), Y (200) and Z (500) is mainly demigods or super cosmic beings (The Stranger, Odin); Class 1000 (Dark Phoenix fully loaded), 3000 (Galactus), and 5000 are your highest level beings in Eternity, Death, and the Living Tribunal.

I've seen link on the internet to the Marvel RPG just a few days ago, goes into the whole FASERIP, powers and how ranks apply, the whole thing.

The 'power ranking' thing on the Marvel website is all jacked up.

I have the entire set of Marvel Universe Series II card set. I loved those and even nowadays look back at some of those cards and admire the craft that went into producing them. Really cool stuff.

Anyways, no I don't buy that Spider-Woman is that powerful.

    Spiderwoman is not fapping material.
I subscribe to Hustler for that.

    Ridiculous!

Allowing a margin for unintended error, the stats should read more like this:

    Intelligence 2 or 3
    Strength 4
    Speed 3
    Durability 3 or 4
    Fighting Skill 4
Energy 3 (whichever rank fits "single energy type, short/medium range")
Who needs CoTM when you can have a Skullie?

I am Tangent Man! I do not care!

You forgot PR: Poor (between Feeble and Typical). I recall finding it interesting that J. Jonah Jameson had a ranking of Typical in every attribute across the board.

Those official ratings are stupid. Always were.
