Could anyone bring me up to date on this? Why isn't Thomas Jane reprising the role?
    As you were, people.

While Jane was probably the best thing about the previous Punsher movie, the film as a whole was quite disappointing.

War Zone looks like it may have a chance at being the orgy of violence I expect a Punisher movie to be.

Although I never read any of the Max series ,but I heard a lot of good
things about it and did look through it a couple of times, but didn't
buy any.I always like the Punisher look in the Max version and was a
little disappointed that the last movie didn't follow through as well.

Thomas Jane should have played Marc Spector aka Moon Knight. he's too much of a pretty boy to play Frank, imo. Spector seems more his speed anyways; (like playing multiple characters in a film like he tried at the beginning of Punisher). that said, he's a decent actor and i don't think he did a bad job in the Punisher movie.

Didn't like him as Punisher....he was good, but he didn't come off as Frank Castle enough for me....he'd be good in different Superhero movie, though....

Such as MoonKnight, that would be a badass movie!

I read somewhere he really didn't like the script and/or the screenplay and decided to take another part or something around those lines, but it's been awhile and I couldn't tell you were I originally read it

Tom Jane doesn't convey bad ass to me. He conveys guy with gravelly voice. Ray Stevenson looks like he may kill you just to watch you die. Big Time upgrade in my opinion.
We'd like to wish EZMOHR all the best in his future....ah forget it.

I always thought that was more about the script.
Where the punisher was less the punisher, and more a jolly prankster, who killed people.

I actually think Jane did well as the Punisher, it was just the sceenplay and script didn't really call for The Punisher as we know him, if would've been more faithful to the character I think Jane would've done alright myself

Jane won me over, not with the movie, but with the voice acting for the video game. He was so feaking badass in that Game. His voice was so cold and pissed off.

As far as the 04 Movie is concerned, I like the extended cut better.

I love Ray Stevenson's costume. I never liked the sleeveless look for Punisher in the 04 movie and the Max Line, so I'm glad they gave him long sleeves in this. My only gripe is that I wish the skull would be a bit whiter.
