Thumbs up Tony! Countdown is really lifting off now

    heya tony,

just want to say that i have been a huge supporter of Countdown from the very start,

truely loving every minute of it,

But these last 5 weeks have been amazing,

The stories are really meshing together nicely now,

keep up the good work and i'll keep coming back to the shop every week to get my Countdown fix.

    Thanks, General,

People have been flaming the series so bad that it's nice to know SOMEBODY'S enjoying it! ;-)

My issues in January (16-13) should really be to your liking. A LOT happens in them.

Well, I have to say Tony, The general consensus is getting much more positive about the weekly, Tons and Tons of people are still buying Countdown and I have heard nothing but positive feedback on 95percent of the spin-off. All of which I have

The art has improved heaps, Carlos magno’ s art was excellent last week, Ron Lim, Tom derenick and Jamal igle are all very welcome to do more issues in my humble opinion, I am really looking forward to Pete woods art in the coming issues.

Jimmy Olsen’s story has grown on me hugely now, the mystery of his powers is coming full circle.

The Rogues story took a nice twist of fate last wee, good to see Deadshot return to his badass days.

Mary marvel’s story was not one of my favourite from the start, but I am starting to like it more each instalment,

The challengers and Bob the monitors story has been the coolest so far, world hopping is interesting,

Here is 2 Threads of Mine from Newsarama, and Comic bloc, dedicated to Those of Us who are still loving and following Countdown and Countdown related titles.

    heya Jake,

Yeah it's also good to see another person speak up, and be more vocal about everything that they do love in Countdown.

    That's what irks me,

We hear mostly from the haters and critics,

Thankfully, the last 6 weeks i have notice a dramatic difference on the internet concerning Countdown, people are coming out of the woodwork and speaking up for all the stories and moments that are happening in the book.

Most people will like and dislike one or more of the storylines. And lots will focus on the dislikes. Me, I like the Challengers and Rogues storylines and care less about Mary Marvel and Jimmy Olsen, so naturally I like some of the issues better than others. But I agree that overall, its been pretty good. There has been improvement too. I remember one of the earlier issues that touched on each and every storyline and added little to any. That problem hasn't appeared for awhile (except for 26, the 'catchup' issue, which I enjoyed anyway). Now that we are heading to the final stretch I can't wait to find out what happens next.

    I enjoyed the latest issue.

I know I should just wait until next issue, as it might answer the question, but...

Why didn't Piper try cutting off Trickster's hand before then? My theory is that he did and just couldn't go through with it. He may yet fail again.

I like the new approach. When everybody got 3 or 4 pages per issue none of the stories seemed to move along very well. Now that certain stories get big chunks of the issue and others just get a peek it feels like the stories being featured that issue have enough space to develop and pace themselves better.

The first half of the series was, to be charitable, not as good as it could have been. But I've been pretty happy with it over the last ten issues or so, as things have started to really happen.
