    Default Five Final Crisis Predictions

1.The world ends. Society collapses into a new dark age.

    2. Superman escapes a doomed earth in his rocket.

    3. Earth-1 is introduced. (It's not quite what you'd expect.) Barry Allen of Earth-1 dies in the Crisis.

    4. Kal-L returns. JSA/JSA.

    5. End with Superboy-Prime "going home" powerless. He's locked in an institution ala Psycho Pirate in COIE screaming about how there are INFINITE earths as we pan out to see them. Exact opposite of COIE ending.

Seriously, I've already thought they'd run with something similar to this.

There was a hint in this week's DC comics that went something like, "When does Superman Prime go?" And while this is not my guess, it's one I firmly suspect is going to happen: He's going to the past to stop COIE from happening.

Also, Grant Morrison has already said that Final Crisis is going to begin with Anthro and end with Kamandi.

You know what would be a delightful mental short circuit?

MORE than Infinite Earths. (Yes, I realize the technical idea would simply be a larger infinity.)

Ie. "This is, incredibly, a true story. I've erected a quantum calculator to tabulate the reproducing universes. It didn't stop at infinity. What used to be the multiverse is at infinity plus one and growing rapidly. Not only do all possible things exist. All impossible things exist as well. And that's just the beginning... We used to think of possible and impossible as two sides of a coin. We were wrong. There's so much more outside our four dimensional thinking. This is no fantasy - no careless product of wild imagination. This is a true story... Aren't they all?"

Doesn't rule out either kamandi or SBP as the last epilogue.

EDIT: By that I mean the proper story could end with Kamandi and have an epilogue. Or Kamandi could be an epilogue at the end.

Well, the end of 52 (I think it was) makes mention of a Megaverse that's to appear. Sounds similar.

    Me, I just want:

    A) A lollipop in every issue. Yum.
    B) Earth 49: The World Where Crime is fought with Hostess Fruit Pies and Snack Cakes.

It's all going to end with Kamandi standing over Mad Scientist era Lex Luthor's battered corpse and a toppled over cart of cakes. Nobody steals Kamandi's cakes.

Several lower-tier characters that I've enjoyed for years and whose existence makes the DCU a more fun place to read about will be killed off within the space of a few panels.

    That's all I got.

I'm going to make the bold prediction that this series will not be delayed. Mainly because of the lead time.

JG Jones was already working on his eighth page of the first issue during San Diego Con. So I would guess he's fairly far along right now.

It depends. I believe Jimenez said that a lot of the delays on IC came from the scripts being late.

Ahh, good point. Forgot that they mentioned that at the SDCC. Last issue would be, what, at least 15 months out from this year's SDCC? Hopefully it ships on time.

In that case, make prediction #5: Return of Kon-El, but under a non-Superboy name

Interesting... That could complicate matters if there are changes down the line. Any idea on where Morrison is with the script for Final Crisis?

My prediction is that I'll try an issue or two, get bored of the constant referencing events and characters I'm neither familiar with nor interested in then drop the whole thing and read about it online. While wondering what the fuss is.

    Scripts were on time...

Changes by the editorial staff (like Nightwing not dying) caused delays.
