Default Gail Interviewed by The New York Times!

    http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/27/bo...=1&oref=slogin

Kudos to Tegan for finding the article.

Very nice article. It has a lot about Gail I never knew (probably because I don't like to read things that are too long(and yet I became an English Major, go figure))

What's up with Ms. Simone though?

It’s a good piece – and following on from Gail’s thread about food and creation, nice to know a little more about where Gail is coming from regarding inspirations from the past and how that moves into the way she writes.

Interesting to see the theatre studies mentioned. I did a lot of drama through school too, eventually moving into production and getting people into roles, characters – which I find really helps when I need to really sink into a song I’m writing and find something deeper.

As a little aside, Gail’s “Find the truth in every scene” line has indeed made it into one my the tunes, as a nod and a wink to someone who’s work I adore and as a person on here I really enjoy getting to know.

66 years?!?! There hasn't been a female writer for Wonder Woman in 66 years?! Wow. I double my kudos to you Gail. Triple even. Congrats again on landing such a sweet gig.

And congrats on having an article about you in the NY Times! You've hit the big time, baby! ;) :D

How crazy IS that? CRAZY crazy.

The reporter was very nice, very dogged. I feel bad about the comment about me being the first ongoing female writer, not sure where that came from. Poor Mindy Newell should have that title.

Didn't Marston's wife and Mistress take over for a bit as well?

Ooops! Someone at the NY Times will be getting a lot of geekmail over that one, I bet. Thanks for clearing that up! :D

    The kudos still stand, though.

Nice interview, Gail. And high five for Wonder Woman getting some recognition in the Times!

Yeah, but they didn't mention my named, they just called me "one suspect."

Oh, wait... you meant Alex? Pfft!

I don't know if his wife ever scripted an issue, but she created the character with him. Still, neither of them would've been an ongoing writer like Gail will be, hopefully for a very, very long time.

Congrats Gail on the NYT spot.

Now get back to work or us geeks will run you out of town on a rail! :D
I hope this 911 is for real and not just on tv.
