Nick's last partner's previous partner had very questionable taste.

Lots of stuff was packed into boxes and was in the garage in Nick's old house. . when we moved in, we found some really cool (and expensive) goblets, crystal bowls, and Wedgewood bone china.

But we also found lots of cheapie hurricane glasses, cat figurines, and crappy candlesticks that were wrapped w/ just as much loving care.

my Mom insisted that my Dad had to look it up online, and it turns out it really is Sterling Silver, and that in this particular pattern, if you wanted to buy it on Replacements.com, it's almost $290 for a 5 piece setting.

we have service for 8.

so not that we are going to be selling it, but that was a nice $2300 surprise :)
