Penance/Hollow Appreciation

Thought I'd share with the Penny fans that fic I hinted at prior in posting. Comic Vine's Marvel Mayhem stories. This is the Gen X inspired idea I am running with in it, with Penny as one of the main characters.

All of Penny's friends keep dying! Ugh. Although, to be fair, Monet was more of an enemy/rival by the end.

If Phil does die, though, we may never know what transpired between the end of The Loners mini (where Phil and Penny went off together) and Avengers Academy #21 (where Penny was back with The Loners while Phil was in NYC).

Christos Gage wrote Penance in Avengers Academy and Karl Moline drew her in Loners! So, not getting my hopes up, but it'd be great if she was in this issue somehow.

August and September are shaping up to be big months.

August:
Avengers Arena #13 - will focus on Avengers Academy and their search for the missing teens.
Superior Spider-Man #15-#16 - will focus on Hollow's former love interest Phil Urich -- though it may be his death issues!

September:
Part 1 of a 4-part mini called "Infinity: The Hunt" -- will feature many of our less-seen super-powered teens.

Yes!! I saw that too!! So exciting! After getting passed over for "Avengers Arena," I really hope she gets included in this. I'm sure Matt Kindt will focus on the new characters he's created, but I'm hoping for some Loners to appear, as well, even if we (ugh) never get an explanation for how they were reunited with Penance after the end of their mini. Just like we never got an explanation for how Ms. Fujikawa got her mitts on "Hollow"... nor any insight into the time Penny and Red Ronin spent together in Fujikawa Industries. Still, unexplained jostling around the Marvel Universe is better than being in character limbo, alone and forgotten!

I really hope writer Matt Kindt will pick/has picked Penance/Hollow because she can bring so much to the table with her powers... and she has a unique look, as well.

If Penance appears in Infinity: The Hunt, it would be a chance to finally see Jubilee, Chamber, Husk, and Monet again. I mean, I know Husk is at Hellfire Academy and Monet isn't affiliated with a school campus at all, but meh, why let little things like logic and facts get in your way. :P Oh, if the school Cyclops is running participates, that would mean seeing Emma Frost again. So there you go.

Also connected to Infinity, here's a look at September's Avengers #20 cover... I think these are the Ex Nihilo? One of them looks like Penance! Would be neat to see the two of them square off, I guess.
