The "uniform" is the Avengers Movie T-Shirt.

Leonard Kirk kicked some butt with this one!
Any Dream worth Having Is A Dream worth Fighting For.
Cool shirt; would make cosplaying this "uniform" even easier.
Lovin' the I.D. cards, too!<3
It's one of the best pictures from The Loners, though, sadly enough. I'm glad that (apparently?) my concerns about her purplish color and garish looks were taken into account for later issues. She looks a bit "cuter" here than in her first Loners appearance. Could just be a coincidence, but I don't know, lol. C.B. did read and respond to my post about it.
Yeah, something tells me she'd still need two I.D. cards until that all got sorted out though, lol. Darn that writer who insisted that Speedball must be Penance (and who is now back to Speedball anyhow)!
Her real name is unknown; "Penance" is probably as close as we're going to get.
...which is something I like; it creates a distance between the reader and the character (not to mention between characters), which is something I think is very fitting for the character.
If we ever do learn of a birth name for her, it better be as part of one heck of a storyline, not a throwaway line.
She's kind of schitzo -- skewering Julie 'cos she's distrusting/afraid, feeling bad about it afterward, then kissing Phil because she "likes" him. It's hard to get a read on her without some sort of internal monologue, lol, but she's interesting enough. Keeps you guessing and seems to have a good, if misguided, heart. Later on, she comforts Phil when he's obviously upset about something.
She's also kind of skittish, but when she picks friends, she sticks to 'em (the exception being so far when Phil went insane and started attacking others, she knew she had to help stop him). Conversely, it seems she holds a grudge and can be fairly ferocious against someone she doesn't like (against, say, the woman who kidnapped her and kept her in a glass tube while harvesting her for MGH).
And yes, all of that from the five issues of The Loners in which she appeared. Though the mini had its faults, it at least attempted to show what all of its characters felt and thought at any given moment.
As for the name "Yvette" -- they explained that away in a later issue of Generation X in which Emma quizzes Monet and it's revealed that it's one of her many middle names (thus also a pet name Marius used to call her by).
I think at this point it'd stretch credibility for it coincidentally also being Penance's real name.
