Thanks to Mimic for keeping it alive -- I check in on it from time to time to pick up the latest Penance "appearances" and such -- still hasn't been a new Hollow appearance since Loners. I mean, I know they're the same character, but... XD

Annnyway, Penance is my #1 Marvel character. My second choice is Storm and I can't say I'm a big fan of Apocalypse, RLAAMJR, but I lurv Chamber and that's kind of close!

Phil Urich was recently spotted in Amazing Spider-Man 648 working with Peter Parker moving storage boxes. Unknown if Hollow is still with him in NYC.

X-Men: Powerless was just a reprint of an earlier appearance, though. The background info in the Emplate TPB was interesting, including the fact that we finally got to see the place where Penny was held captive for all those years (though I must say, it wasn't anything like I imagined -- still, it's canon now, so we have to deal with it, lol).

I'd like to know more about the background Jubilee's profile -- was it just a pic from an old Generation X comic or was it new, original art?

It's exciting that Phil's in NYC now; I don't have much hope that Hollow will be with him, but I hope they at least briefly review/reference what happened to Phil between Loners and ASM #648 and maybe a message from Fujikawa Industries on his answering machine or something would be neat -- just something to prove to Phil that he can't quite completely escape his past, despite this new life he appears to be making for himself in NYC.

I'm actually trying to get a copy of the loners because of Hollow and Darkhawk cos they're on my top 20 fave characters. I'm beginning to like Ricochet too because in my work, we have to submit 20 names and they're gonna be the one to decided which name should i use. So i put Ricochet there cos it sounds cool and got it. Now my friends are calling me Ricochet.

I wonder if I also put the name: Hollow. I would love to be called Hollow cos Hollow is moreoverly a man's name

Good luck! You should try to get the trade paperback because there's a little extra "concept art" in there, too, including one of Hollow. ;)

If Hollow gets recruited to X-Force, I'd think "poor Penny!" The girl's been through enough, without someone deciding to manipulate her into being a killing machine.

What would be more interesting to me would be if X-Force was sent to take out a threat at a Fujikawa Industries facility and encountered Hollow there -- she's got the claws to go toe-to-toe with Wolverine or X-23, though she lacks their healing factor and experience and would probably lose... I'd hope Wolvie would recognize her though and not kill her! I don't want her to die. XD

As much as I'd like to see her in a video game, I think she'd have to make a cameo in a movie before that'd happen. Then again, they put Echo (as Ronin, I think?) in a game or two, so who knows.

And as for Bleedball (as I like to call him; would've been a much better codename!), it took me months for my rage/snarkiness to subside. XD It really annoyed me how Marvel let that guy steal the name from our Penny. I, too, was excited when I started seeing Penance all over the internet, until I realized it wasn't her. -_- What was really odd about Bleedball were his spiky/creepy costume and concept, and color scheme that, to me, all would've fit perfectly with our Penance... *shrugs*

And now I hear he's ditched the name? What the hell was the purpose of one writer stealing it in the first place then?

Phil Urich, who was last seen escaping with Penny at the end of the Loners mini, is now in NYC, in Amazing Spider-Man #648 and #649, with the promise of more Phil in future issues. Doesn't look like our girl Holly is with him and that he's obsessed with a new attractive female reporter already in a relationship (good lord...).

On one hand I hate the thought of the writer ignoring the red spiky mutant in the room and on the other hand, if she'd been included, she'd be stuck with an insane creepozoid (sorry but that's what Phil's become!) who lusts like a lunatic over some other lady. Neither seems fair to the character of Hollow!

i agree with the happiness some of you shared when Penance was being brought up during marvel's civil war, and thought it was pretty stupid that speedball would be given that name.

that being said, i don't see how you can say hollow is your fav character, unless you are just like me when it comes to tag.....or what she has been through....do we know anything of her past? I still like to think of her as that deaf, war torn orphan (?) from yugoslavia
