Is the Learning Exchange not taking lecturers?

He's been doing this with the SVA (I think) for years.

Sorry. Routine snark. The guest speaker thing is cool. But otherwise, this just sounds like the sort of thing I've seen a lot of. Non-name lesser luminary is done with the trade, goes off to do some hyped to the gills big project, which quickly fades away as the lesser luminary works through his grief and gets a job outside the industry.

I wish Schmidt well in this gig, but I'll be surprised if it lasts. Or, for that matter, if he's got that much to share, personally, since his track to date is pretty much babysitting Bendis; i.e. not actually editing at all.

He was also editing several other books, spearheaded Annihilation, and convinced Marvel to do the MadroX mini-series and the new X-Factor series.

    Not exactly a babysitting gig.

I just meant that the letters pages had more spelling errors than a post by SUPERECWFAN1.

In the letters themselves, or the responses?

Regardless, I believe letters pages are usually done by the assistant editors. Except in rare occasions when the writer does it himself.

I dunno. I've got no idea what else he's been up to, but neither Annihilation or Madrox call for any actual editing; they're both commissioning editor calls, which call for a lot of production wrangling, but not too much attention to craft.

    "Attention to craft"?

Are we still talkin' about Bendis now?
