Today Unscrewed! filed its first small claims suit on behalf of a stiffed creator, assisting with the paperwork and covering the filing fees.

This is a small step but hopefully a building block.

Freelancers, you don't have to go it alone anymore.

The publisher in DropDeadRex's case has been contacted and they are working out the payment arrangements.

Unscrewed is doing its job. People are getting the money they earned. There is justice in the world.

    Hey folks!

We're seeking donations of either items we can auction off or money to help cover the costs of several small claims suits we plan to file on behalf of freelancers stiffed by Atlantis Studios.

Also, we'd like to begin offering memberships in Unscrewed! and we're looking for someone to design our membership cards.

Please contact me about item donations or about card designs if you are interested.

Money donations can be made via paypal to donate@unscrewedcomic.com .

Thank you for your support. With your help we hope to make the comic industry a better, safer place to work.

    Hi Section.

Right now we're set for people working on the anthology (may have too many, in fact), but what we do?

We point put when people are ripping people off, and help them find ways to get unscrewed.

    Any questions?
Why just desserts? Don't these creators deserve the whole meal?

    Exclamation

In between paying gigs, I've been working on writing and drawing "My Frozen Pop!" for UNSCREWED!, a four-page true story about my father when he was a kid in Depression-era Decatur, Illinois. One particularly hot summer, he was working at a local ice cream factory; his job involved the production of frozen popsicles (or whatever they called 'em back then). I'm not gonna reveal any more of "My Frozen Pop!" -- not even the gross part about the flies (oops!) -- but it's all about a little guy cleverly getting back at the big company that tried to screw him, financially speaking.

I hope you'll all dig it.

    Aloha,

    Scott!

Is it unprofessional and immature to say "I've already read it and y'all haven't, neener neener?"

    Oh. Too late.

Seriously though Mr. Shaw, I can't wait to see the art.
