i dunno- look at how long it took heinberg to complete his Wonder woman arc, and i don't think the strike will last THAT long...
The Writer's Guild of America just went on strike, so all television and film writing work is at a standstill. There's speculation that some of the writers who split time between comics and other media may have more time for comics in the near future. I don't know how likely that is, but hey, it'd be nice.

does this mean one more day will be out before christmas?
Well, they are all on strike, and it isn't just lost, it is all screen writing, so any live action TV or movies produced in the US is going to be put on hold. Heroes is filiming an alternate ending for its mid season break in case it is the season finale, only shows already filmed ahead are in good shape.
The best news in the world for me is that it doesn't effect the BBC or any U.S. animation, as they are excluded from the Guild at this point. I have no clue, but I've heard they think this could easily go on as long as March, maybe longer, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.
If Heinberg can come back now, that'd be awesome, but in his most recent Word Balloon interview he was talking about how Marvel is currently figuring out a new creative team for the second volume, but maybe things will be different after the strike.
Heh, maybe Kevin Smith will finally get around to finishing Daredevil/Bullseye: Target. Maybe pigs will fly, too.
