First things first. I have to say that the art is gorgeous and not what you typically see in a comic these days. I mean that in a good way. The paneling action oriented and dynamic, not your typical rectangles throughout the whole issue like you normally get. The coloring was cool, too, because it used an overall hue or tone in vein similar to the movie the Matrix. In short, I really enjoyed the beautiful yet different art a lot! It's above and beyond your current manga/comic/web comic style these days if you ask me.
The premise of this series, this article shall help but it's basically an alternate future where dinosaurs co-exist with people because of an event that changed the future of our world. The members of the Predator Defense League (PDL) are pretty much the famous actors, athletes, musicians of this world as it is viewed as the ultimate occupation.
Now that I got that over with, on to the story. In space near the planet Jupiter, a strange alien race is locked in battle. After a ship is destroyed, the wreckage knocks the asteroid off course that was destined to wipe the dinosaurs off the face of Earth. It instead hits the moon.
65 million years later in Monatani City, a work crew named Avide (a young muscian) and Pax that decided to get a defense wall completed early is interrupted by members of the Predator Defense League (PDL) to access the situation. Captain Clawson and Lilli Murko of the PDL ream them a bit and we soon discover Pax likes to fantasizes about Lilli's . . . sword. Some ground is laid with Pax being said that he gave up working to get into the PDL.
Nearby, Donti Squad is out patrolling when a heard of dinosaurs comes running out of the trees being pursued by some big, huge wolves. They try to stop in but once blood is spilt a Tigras (T-Rex) comes onto the scene.
After some more mayhem and the Tigras heading to the city, the All-Stars Claw and Lilli come to the rescue. After Lilli does some bad-ass stuff with her sword, the situation is taken care of. They debrief and get rid of the bodies so the people inside won't panic. Some mysterious people (a man and a woman) take pictures of their discussion.
Later, Lilli and a partner go look for why the herd got spooked because that was highly unusual. They eventually find a gigantic grouping of herbivores just milling around not running away from the carnivores. They get a glance of a person's feet, like a child, standing in the middle. Lilli races into action as the cliffhanger!
All in all, I enjoyed it a lot and am excited to see where this series goes. 9/10 from me.
