did Flash's origins change that much after COIE (Rebirth retcons don't count seeing as how thats Infinite Crisis/Final Crisis) and was it anything drastic?

The biggest change I remember was power based. Now instead of moving past lightspeed whenever he wanted... he was NEVER that fast. Wally kept getting pushed to newer and newer speeds and breaking Flash Milestones that were DRASTICALLY slower than what Barry did on a regular basis in the silver age...
