    Default Heroes -- Season Two

    I still see people posting in the season 1 thread of Heroes. We are officially a week away from season 2, so let the predictions and speculation begin.

    For example, what power or powers do you think that the so-called Bogeyman who was referenced in the season has?

    Who will be the breakout hero this season?

    What role will Sylar play during this season? Will be make it till the end or will he be a casulty of sweeps week to make way for this new villian

    Predictions?

    I've been wondering what the new villain will be like -- powers, etc. We'll still see Sylar of course. I hope Claire will be on alot -- she's purty!

    I'm looking forward to Monday for sure.

    Syler will become the show's Vegeta. The enemy who is confronted with a greater Enemy to become a friend.

    Peter = Goku
    Syler = Vegeta

    Not a clue, really. But at the very least he has some degree of telepathy/omniscience if he can tell when Molly Walker's looking for him. Or perhaps he's a "power reflector" that just turns anything directed against him back upon its' originator. That would seem in keeping with the theme of the "uber" metas...Sylar (Power Consumption), Peter (Power Duplication), and Boogeyman (Power Reflection).

    Hiro and Mr. Bennet will continue to steal the show, I think. But Kirsten Bell's new character probably has promise.

    I think Sylar will survive the season. However I don't see him as the "Vegeta" of the series but rather as the "Gollum." I think he'll end up a begrudging lapdog/servant/henchman of the new "Boogeyman" or will inadvertantly end up fighting against him without being "redeemed" in any way.

    I have DirectTV and I decided to set it to record episodes so I don't forget.
    Anwyays, I happened to take a quick glance at the info for the episode, which apparently is taken off now.

    So yeh, you know the deal, look at your own risk, potential spoilers.
    spoilers:

    Supposedly, they're introducing twins of some sort [Both had unusual names, possibly Indian?] that have a very dangerous ability. We find out the fates of a few people and something about the new villian stalking the Heroes, whether that means they're introducing, I don't know. Unfortnately, since it was removed Im remembering this from memory.
    end of spoilers

    I'm curious how they're going to work in the fact that this ancient Samurai Hero from the 15th century is white. That should make for big fun. Also, I'm still thinking that the parents/guardians of the heroes have some type of immortality or something.

    I like the sound of this. I was thinking TP as well, and he will come back with a more powerful, mentally enslaved Sylar by his side. BUt Power Reflector does seem like some shit they might do. Except that would mean a "hero" wouldn't be the one to take him down, but rather some flatscan human. Ewww!

    I hope by next Season we see a more kick ass and less whiney Claire.

    I was reading the EW article they had and it had something about Kristen Bell's character being tied into or directly affecting Claire's character. I'm looking forward to how and how much time these two ladies get to share the screen.

    Between Kristen Bell, Dana Davis (as DL's niece), and Dania Rameriez (as one of the twins) there is defiently going to be a lot of eye candy on the show this season with the new cast members.

    My opinion on Claire is that she's reacting perfectly normal for a teenage girl who finds out that she's adopted, her "Dad" was a rep of a super-secret agency, someone killed her cheerleader friend, and, oh, by the way, she's nearly indestructible. Give her some time, people! Her character is as normal as Peter Parker.

    Adding beautiful eye candy to go w/ fantastic stories of people mutant ability? Being chased and feared by a society that doesn't understand them? Its 90's X-Men! (I'm waiting for the red head that turns mental and kills everyone :D)

    j/k- given the growing cast- I've got high hopes that there's progression w/ the show and its themes. I'm not too bothered w/ Takeshi (I think..) is actually white. I'm sure there's a good reason for it and the 'Boogeyman' teaser is good enough for me to watch the first 'arc' of the season.
