He hasn't exactly been missing. Kubert himself did a mini-series last year. Still, another mini-series is okay by me. I'm not gonna' complain about there being more war, western, or mystery comics in the market.

I like the idea of a "series of mini-series" with The Rock and Easy. The concept suits the war genre well... much in the same way that Jonah Hex works better with the "done-in-one" style.

While his first appearance was in GI Combat, I thought Rock appeared in Our Army at War and that was the magazine whose name was changed. The Haunted Tank was in GI Combat.
I think this has potential to be a really great story. I agree that for some books, Mini Series, or even a series of Mini Series really works well.
I would rather read a really good story less often, than read a comic every month just because there needs to be one every month.
