    Default PREVIEW: "Captain America" #30

Things are heating up in "Captain America" #30 as we come to the conclusion of the epic "Death of Captain America" storyline. We've got an advance look at the issue shipping next week by Brubaker, Epting & Perkins.

He's not really going to fall for that reverse psychology BS is he?

    Bucky isn't Rogers.

Cut him up real good, Buck...let the blood from Crossbone's severed throat flow across the tip of your tongue.

Yes...make Captain America proud, rise above him into murderous patriotic evolutionary supremacy.

I'm prolly not gonna look at the Preview b/c they're so big... they take away a lot from actually reading the comic when it comes out...

If, however, things are starting to "heat up" I'm stoked.
Every since Issue #25, I haven't cared about this series at all.
I think Sam is a lame character... Brubaker on Cap used to be in my top five monthlies (easily), but it's fallen way down lately. Here's hoping this issue really does bring things together in an exciting way. :)
No one responds to street art anymore.
People tend to respond to things like loaded guns in their faces.

    That and celebrity spokesmodels.

    Same here.

    Some art I threw together.

If I see anything like Bucky saying a "cool and badass" line like "I'm not Rogers", and then he kills Crossbones, my faith in this book will slip. Marvel needs to quit using him to try to build the Winter Soldier up. What possible threat does Crossbones even pose after Marvel (writers Brubaker and Loeb ) are doing nothing but making him a punching bag. I wouldn't be afraid of him now...

I hope Crossbones gives Bucky a quick kick to the nuts and drops him where he stands. Isn't Bucky supposed to be a "prisoner of the Red Skull"?

Great art, as always. Still hoping for a quick return of Steve Rogers, because while it's well written and drawn, it's no longer Captain America to me.
