Default The general Baltimore Comic-Con '07 DC 'truth' and speculation thread!

    http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=128569
    Few points:

interesting that Countdown got a lukewarm reception. Possibly the first time that's happened at a convention? I dunno?

I hate DiDio's self aware ''look at me! I'm the guy who dares to kill people!"-schtick. It's just embarassing somehow.

Shame about all-Star Superman; I'd assumed Morrison and Quitley would have hung around after the initial 12 months.

I'm disappointed at how they've neglected Morrison's version of the Joker after the prose issue of Batman he did.

"Will Ollie survive his wedding, given that there are plenty of replacement “Green Arrows” running around the DC Universe a fan asked. DiDio asked Jones if Ollie was in the Wedding Planner, to which Jones replied with a yes. DiDio’s non-answer answer caused some murmurs among the crowd."

The fact that he doesn't state if Ollie survives the wedding + the covers for those issues = not a good sign in my book, even if all it means is a few months of ''is Oliver Queen dead? isn't he?..oh..2 months later - no he isn't."

I'm quite hopeful about DiDio's reassurance that the death's aren't being done randomly and that there will be "four deaths and a wedding in 2007" Of course, this is undermined by the deaths of the new gods in general so...god knows.

I like that we will see more of Earth 2 JSA. I cannot wait as I was a fan of the Pre-Crisis version of Earth 2 JSA. I know this one is different though somewhat.
I also like that we will see Jack Knight return too.
Also Jim Shooter on Legion of Super Heroes.... oh yeah!
I really wonder if Ollie will die even though he has been dead before? So why again?
Firestorm in JLA.. meh unless it is Ronnie Raymond yes!

Being the old and wretched man that I am, I can't help but be excited to read that Jim Shooter is going to be returning after 35 years to writing the Legion of SUper-Heroes.

    What odd, but interesting news.

Much like Morrison's Magneto, it's way, way too different (and, in the case of Magneto, too inferior) from the longstanding persona of a very important character for a company to use it.

I think it's just an attempt to build suspense; he only died six years ago, and there's really no reason why they would kill him; they already tried replacing him with Connor once, and it didn't take. Moreover, the phrasing of the second solicitation for GA/BC speaks of Black Canary's "frustration", which doesn't seem like a word they'd use to describe death.

    Thumbs up

A fan... asked what’s going on with Cassandra Cain...“We’ve got a story coming up in Gotham Underground where she’ll be seen,” DiDio said. “Along with the Bat Family."
Youuuuuuuuhouuuuuuu, Cassandra Cain comes back !!! :D

Asked about other Warner Bro. properties, DiDio said that DC is working on another Space Ghost miniseries
Youuuuuhouuuuuuu Space Ghost will come back ! :)

Asked if he has any more “cosmic” stories coming, DiDio said that they are talking with Jim Starlin about dong something, presumably after The Death of the New Gods, with Starlin hinting that it would be more Mystery in Space
Youuuuuuhou, M.I.S will come back ! (I hope The Weird will come back too ! :) ).

And last but not least :
    http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/Balti...DCU_panel.html

Holding up another piece of paper, Didio said there will be special mini-series coming soon by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones called Batman the Unseen, where Batman will be fighting the Invisible Man.
Doug Moench/Kelley Jones will come back together on Batman !!! That's great ! It saves twice my day ! Again, again !

BV72 who is happy now, and thanks DC very much ! :)

Is the Wedding Planner a one shot or mini?
