Why should I want to make anything up? Life's bad enough as it is without trying to invent any more of it.

Hey guys
I just finished JMS run including One More Day - at the same time i've read Civil War and just started the Initiative. Really confused about the whole one more day event?
Reading death of cap america avengers issue and they are all still talking to spidey like nothing has changed? He's still in his black suit though? Do people still know who he is? Did the civil war events, etc still happen? How is he still a new avenger? Harry is alive?
I'm trying to work out what is going on before i keep going with both the Initiative and before i go and order all the Brand New Day stuff?
Hopefully someone can help me out without spoiling too much of future events.
Cheers
Phil
OMD basically retconed the marriage and people knowing who he is, Brand New Day is the first stories to take place after.
Cheers, so I basically just have to take for granted that everything else is the same, just they were never married and no one knows who he is? Hes still in the avengers and everyone still acts the same? And his new powers have been removed?
I guess il have to wait and see how it all Pans out, was really enjoying the marriage. Just read the entire jms run for te first time and it was really good.
Cheers
Phil
Probably answered before, but does anyone have a reading order for the events that lead up to Spider Island, Particularly Infestation and the Wraith. I'm guessing the story is spread across the spider magazines, because amazing only has the end of both of them.

Is it ever mentioned if the web-pits actually made Spider-Man more aerodynamic or whatever?
Bad news everyone...
I don't view it as that, but then I don't see anything as a last word.
I read the entire ASM in a row a year ago so I can't really remember JMS's run entirely, but I do know I was more than ready for the Brand New Day. Having Spider-Man's powers be some mystical totem pole and giving him strange new powers .... it just distracted from the simplicity of what a lot of people loved about Spider-Man.
I agree with you about the totem and the extra powers, but I just meant his death as being the end of the original Spider-man.
Hey, just starting getting back into reading after many years of being out of touch. question about spidey and his webbing, wasn't there a time that it was organic? I seem to vaguely remember that when I was younger (or im just thinking of the movie but pretty sure I read it too), and then in Spider Island which I just got he talks to Carlie about how to replenish it so that was a clear indicator to. Was there ever an explanation on how it was organic for a while and then not? Ive really only been reading online to try to catch up on everything but ASM only starts at #500 online... Thanks in advance!

He didn't get organic webshooters from at the end of The Other storyline. He got them at the end of a story in Peter Parker: Spider-Man in which The Queen turned him into a giant spider. At the end of the story, as the giant spider, he basically gave birth to himself and emerged with organic web shooters.
