    Default Craven Storyline?

Ok... I'm very new to the comic book world, but my boyfriend has been an avid collector/reader most of his life. For his birthday I was hoping to order some comics for him that he recently had to sell (very reluctantly). Only problem is that I don't know where to begin...

I'm looking for the run of Spiderman issues that focus on the original Craven storyline. Being new to this, I'm not sure if that's too vague of a description or not. All I know is that it ends in the death of Craven... anyone able to give me the book #s?

    Thanks!

OK, I think that what you're talking about is the 'Kraven's Last Hunt' storyline. It was originally published in 6 parts across all the Spider-Man titles back in 1987. It did indeed finish with Kraven's death and it's been collected in single book form a number of times. The most recent collection of this story is in the 'Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt Premiere Hardcover'...

I'm pretty sure that this is what you're referring to, it isn't "the original Kraven storyline" though, in fact it's quite the opposite...it's his last storyline! :p Kraven first appeared some 25 years (in our time) before the 'Last Hunt' story, in Amazing Spider-Man #15.

Incidentally, there's actually a sequel of sorts to 'Kraven's Last Hunt' called 'Soul Of The Hunter' in which Kraven's ghost re-appears! Yes, it's not great and is in no way essential reading…and besides, it’s out of print now anyway.

If you wanted to get the Kraven's Last Hunt storyline in the single issues in which they first appeared, you need to hunt down Web of Spider-Man #32-33, Amazing Spider-Man #393-394 and Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #131-132.

    Default About Uncle Ben's Death

I just want to know how and where did Uncle Ben die. I've read a back issue of JMS' early run, there is a scene when Aunt May said to Peter that Uncle Ben was killed when he took a walk outside after had some argument with May. BUT, most of the flashbacks showing Uncle Ben's murder was happened in the house with May beside her. I don't know which one is the truth, which one is the lie. Anybody know?! Tell me please!!

As far as I remember, a walk outside was the truth. But May felt guilty about the argument, and did not tell Peter at the time.

I don't remember the actual issue where it was explained.

    Default Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane

So with all this hoopla going on about OMD & BND, I'm reminded of the only Spidey title that I've actually read regularly: Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane (and the prequel Mary Jane stories). I didn't bother with the series when it first came out, but I found myself reading the digests at my local library one day and it became a guilty pleasure of mine. It's been awhile since the book ended and I heard it was due out for a relaunch with a new creative team, but there's been silence since then. Does anyone know if/when it'll be out? With all the changes and controversy going on in the main book, I'd like to fall back into the relatively "simpler" times of high school angst and romantic dramedy.:D

    Default One more day image

I recall seeing an image with Iron Man, venom, loki, gwen stacy, and a few others. None of them showed up in ONE MORE DAY. Does anyone have the image and does this tie into the future or what?

I don't follow Spider-man in 616, but if what wikipedia is saying is true, did they actually go through ands just eliminate Peter Parker's marriage and by extension an enormous part of his publication history? You mean Peter and Mary Jane chose to throw away their marriage to save an old lady that likely could keel over at any moment from a heart attack or something?

Is there any one post that contains the discussion for this because I don't think this is probably the best place for my questions.

I don't even follow Spider-Man but I feel that my childhood has just been snatched into an unmarked van, just by reading that they actually went through with this.

Iron Man showed up in the first issue of OMD. I don't know about the others.

Essentially correct, give or take a few split hairs.

There's really no one post that gets into all of it, but you can find all you're curious about and more in this thread:

    This the one you mean?

I don't think it ties into anything. It was just to tease the ending of OMD, before Mephisto's involvement was revealed.

That would be the one. How do you post pics on the message?
