Ive not seen anything currently suggesting that they are....

But if you want to read a spider-man from India, pick up the Spider-man: India miniseries.

Hi, I recently started reading my old spidey comics again, I have a British reprint set called Astonishing Spider-man. Apparently this was done by panini and gathers a lot of the american stories. I was hoping to jump out of that one and into the official comics so I was wondering which set of comics to follow, I'm up to the clone saga so was going to switch across when that is concluded?

There are only 2 Spidey series at the moment, Amazing and Avenging. Amazing is the main one, it's pretty easy to just jump into the current storyline, but if you're looking to read any of the back issues to catch up then you could start with Dan Slott's Big Time which isn't too far back and will clue you into Pete's life at the moment, or you could start with Spider-Island as you're just finishing the clone saga. There are other good stories before those too, Grim Hunt and the Gauntlet run, it's worth having a look online to see what you like the sound of. Wikipedia and Amazon reviews helped me catch up with what I'd missed.

As for Avenging, it's a fun team up book with Spidey and one of his Avenger buddies, not an essential read, but can be fun now and again.

Okay, did I miss something? Since when did Black Cat get her bad luck powers back? Is there some storyline I've missed or is it just as out of the blue as it feels? Even their relationship seems completely different to everything that's gone before..

You missed Web of Spider-man Volume 2 and the black cat appearances in ASM then. Web defines who gave it back to her (the issue where BC and MJ team up to save spidey)

Thanks for that, it's been bugging me ever since she popped up again after One More Day, didn't even know there was a second volume of Web Of Spidey. Will go see if Marvel have it on their site.

Okay, all caught up now, unfortunate that she just gets her powers back and it's barely even touched upon. Re-read ASM where she first pops up with her powers back too. Really hate how they're written together now but these things happen I guess, I'm sure it'll change again at some point.

Spidey was à fav before civil war era and recently i become intrested when i read New ways to die arc. Im trying to find which current series,creator of spidey i should follow. I see issues 574-577 has Joe kelly listed, did he write stories that was seen as good? Didnt Mark Waid write some spidey recent years? Im trying to find My way with those creators i respect.
