Just a random question about Web Of Spider-Man volume 1. I know it was a "replacement" for the first volume of Marvel Team up, but my question is whether anything that happens in Web actually went on to matter in Amazing and Spectacular? I ask because i recall Peter's apartment being torched somewhere after issue 30 of Web Of and i wanted to know if it crossed to the other 2 titles. Basically is web of spider-man worth reading, and essential to the other titles

A Sins Past retcon would be one such story.

I think Marvel just wants the writers to spend their intellectual energy on other stuff.
I think we'd all rather have that. We won't agree with everything they write, but it'll be better than editor-mandates. See Remender's Venom. Strong praise from fans with minor quibbles over things like the death of Pat Mulligan and subsequent re-characterization of Toxin.

As Amazing Spider-Man was a Columbia Pictures film, and Avengers was a Disney film, I'm going to predict "No."

    1. Doubtful as the licensing is Sony's and not Disney's for now.

    2. New Avengers. He was in the Avengers proper but has been off the team for a bit now. Though currently hes working with all the avengers team to stop the x-men. Also New Avengers are still avengers so he still has his avengers card.

Same universe, Spectacular tended to be more character driven. Some real storyline gems like The Child Within, Death Of Jean DeWolf. Took me forever to get used to Sal Buscema's art though.

I don't remember Web being essential, there was a cross title story where Pete gets locked in a psych ward run by Kingpin, but not essential reading, no. There were some fun issues though, Harry Osborn tried being a good Green Goblin, Molten Man was given something to do and Alex Saviuk had a large run on art duties which I loved. I really enjoyed that period of time across the Spider titles. Before the dark times, with platinum, holo chromium, die cut covers every other issue.

Shouldn't Spider-man be stronger than the Lizard? I mean, the Lizard is huge but spiders can lift much more than their weight and lizards... don't? So am I right or not?

When the symbiote that became Venom was the black suit it enhanced his strength. He later also wore just a regular black costume that was just fabric like his normal suit.

But was that actually proven? Was there a story where we could actually see that Spider-man's strenght was above it's normal levels? And how strong was he? Carnage strong? Hulk strong?

In Amazing Spider-man #692 cover what suit is that big one with his back turned on the viewer? If that is the black suit then is the only one repeated in the cover and is given a bigger importance to the others.

That's his Negative Zone costume. I don't really think it has more importance than the others. It's kinda on an equal footing with the 2099 suit...
