I wonder. If Mistgun developed medicine that allow people to use magic in Edoras couldn't he sort out this mess in three minutes by giving them to kingdom folks?

He probably just likes all the drama going on. He's siting somewhere eating apples and observing everybody laughing to himself and waiting for the right moment to show up and save the day steal the crown and sweep the girl.

FYI, its revealed in this chapter that Edo-Erza and her powers are an homage to Mashima's previous main character, Haru Glory.

Forget homage, it's the same damn thing.

Mashima needs to stop repeating himself. The Oracion Seis wasn't too bad since it was just the name but this is just lazy.

On the whole this chapter felt a bit deus ex machina-y for my liking what with the whole:

Gray: I'm okay and Gazelle is here to... from nowhere and Mist Gun gave us medicine that allows us to use magic here.

Erza seems to be the first one to have an Edoras counterpart of similar power.

I don't think it's too deus ex Machina as we should have expected Gazille to show up eventually and I was wondering where Mistgun was. Now dragon Slayers being able to return people from crystal form... yeah that's a bit much.

Yeah, it is just a little bit too much deus ex machina, I think just because it all happened way too fast. It wouldn't have been a deus ex machina with just a little more set up regarding the role of Dragonslayers in Edoras, their ability to reverse the lacryma, etc.

I lol'd at the strategically placed text bubble. Mashima's like "No Panty Shot for You!"

I'm going to agree with the deus ex machina bit and how it's enhanced by how rushed this all feels.

That's the main problem with Fairy Tail. Good story arcs are set up but the ending feels a bit flat due to one or two plot-devices too many.

That said. Erza vs. Erza is very cool

Well... at first I was just wishing that he wouldn't look like Gerard. It's really freaking annoying. So a new face would be good.

But now that I think about it all of his awesomeness has been done off-screen.

181 is out. We get an explanation as to how Dragon Slayers can turn the Lachryma back into people (sort of), a bit more of Erza vs. Erza, and the set-up for at least two more fights (one of them is two-on-three, but I don't know if it will be broken up any).

Some nice forward momentum as everybody gets into their own battles. I'm especially looking forward to Gazille's fight with Panther Lily.

Natsu freaking out about the two Erza's was golden, and the front page made me chuckle.

Also, Wendy is so damn cute.
