At least Ichiya got to show his talked-about power for the first time, like, ever--instead of just being the whipping doll joke again. And one of his opponents was credible.

He actually used it before against one of Nirvana's lachryma, and it showed he could punch around as hard as a Dragon Slayer's full out breath weapon while recovering from a severe beating.

Nice to see its good in an actual fight, though.

In the new anime episode we get some interesting new team-ups to deal with the Oracion Seis, except for Lucy who ends up with people she usually ends up with.

There's something particularly funny about Bickslow and Wendy being paired up as team.

And Erigor apparently can control all weather now and not just wind. That's going to be a problem.

New chapter out, granted with the lesser translation.

Natsu and Gajeel blitz Sting and Rogue into getting serious. When they activate their powers, looks like Sting is Light and Rogue is Darkness/Shadow. Sting shoots a laser breath he can bend and strafe with, and Rogue can become sort of immaterial. They do some damage but eventually Gajeel's training and Natsu's second origin let them take a clear advantage. Then the ST Slayers show their next level of power: consciously activated Dragon Force. I bet we're going to need Natsu or Gajeel, if not both, somehow get to Dragon Force if they want to win this one.

I'm kind of disappointed to be honest.

I wanted a more even battle from the get go rather than Natsu and Gajeel dominating the whole thing, even if I do want Fairy Tail to win.

Hopefully the fight will get better from now on.

I kind of agree. I have a feeling the battle will tilt the next direction for the next chapter, then the following chapter Natsu and Gajeel will overcome it with the power of love, friendship and determination. Natsu and Gajeel were taking it pretty easy so far though, so we'll see.

Sabretooth are nobodies. They are only just above generic jerk guild #473 at this point, though Sting at least seems to be getting some personality development next chapter.

Lamia Scale and Mermaid Heel are the opponents with significant power and cool characters. Blue Pegasus isn't bad either, for a joke guild.

But we all know the real plot will start when that general starts his plan.
