Manga: Nice ending to a cool fight scene, easily the best in the arc so far. But when did Wendy do the enhance strength trick on Chelia? Oh well, this was a nice mix of cleverness and determination. The stuff good fights are made of.

I wonder if the mystery man was just Zeref himself walking around, since nobody really knows what he looks like. And does spell the end of Jellal participation in the tournament?

So on the fourth day there will be tag team matches for the battle portion. I'm going to guess that this will be Gray and Lucy's shot at redeeming themselves for the first day and I hope that we'll finally get to see Rogue and Sting do their thing.

Anime: Fun episode where we find out Dan's origin story, Lily kicks ass, Grief from Rave makes a cameo appearance (sort of) and Virgo appears for no reason at all.

Meanwhile, over in Fairy Tail we've kind of got the beginnings of something larger with the introduction of Zeref and Acnologia but... there doesn't seem to be a real driving force behind the guild to actually do anything. They feel a touch directionless and that makes me lose interest quite a bit. Heck, Fairy Tail is already almost as long as the entirety of Groove Adventure Rave and we're only just getting into the beginnings of a greater overarching plot which worries me a lot.

In volume 20 Mashima says that the main overarching plot of Fairy Tail was going to be Natsu searching for Igneel. Then he admits that he got majorly side-tracked.

It appears that the anime filler will have Post-Timeskip Oracion Seis.

I don't think that Team B is being disqualified. We've still got that planned Laxus/Orga match-up revealed in the volume notes I posted.

Yukino...unless she *just* joined up, which is unlikely, it seems she was always a part of the military. But I don't think she's talking to Arcadius (he was surprised at her abilities displayed in the tournament, so I doubt they are connected).

Pumpkin guy's identity is definitely being built up as important somehow.

Jeral isn't really off the hook just yet. Perhaps worse than the council knowing that Yamaji was covering for him, Kagura and co. know he's there, and they know Erza was sorta covering for him.

When Mashima wants to push a pairing he really goes all out in making it obvious. Like with Elfman and Evergreen here.

Apparently Laxus is in charge of comforting the loli master.

I'm guessing that Kagura just barely managed avoid going berserk because they're in a really crowded place.

Unless Mashima has forgotten his own chart then we're going to get tag team match-ups on the fourth day. I was kinda hoping that it would be Gray and Lucy doing their part in that to make up for the first day. But now it looks like we'll be getting Natsu and somebody else as well against Sabertooth. Though, it's not certain.

So the latest episode was pretty epic with the Mirajane vs. Satan Soul fight and everybody versus the giant octopus.

Also, new opening with time-skip Oracion Seis. It's pretty good and since we don't actually know anything about this arc we can't tell if it is as horribly spoilerish as the other openings.

You have to wonder because, I mean... she basically had a panic attack there. This tells me what happened to her is either:

Considering the seriousness with which the situation is being depicted I'm thinking that it's something really bad.
