[Dark Soul # 7]

Mashima did another round of fanservice pics. Inevitably some higher quality, larger scans of the images will show up. Right now I just have one of Ultear and pre-timeskip Meldy in bikinis. The other ones are a pic of Bisca and Evergreen, and a pic of Erza, Lucy, and Wendy lying in bed in different kinds of fetish outfits.

While Mashima is very good to us for stuff like this I feel that he should do something similar for the female fans and have the males pose around half naked and what not.

This chapter is kind of nice. Its good to see the different characters fighting and showing off their skills. This is like the wizard olympics, it would be normal to see the best of the best fighting here, IMO.


And now we have Mystogan versus Jura, I'm hoping for a truly epic fight. :)

On a side not, we get further proof that Natsu is far from oblivious. The way he had to protect his ears from the music was kind of funny. :) Nice chapter all in all.

Honestly, Natsu and Elfman tend to wander around without shirts most of the time, and Gray is a compulsive stripper. I guess Gajeel, Jellal and Laxus should show some more skin if they're gonna be regulars. Maybe Fried as well, for the bishounen factor?

We got a nice mix of powers demonstrated from the other teams and I rather like that Sherry has given up her fangirling for Leon and actually gotten herself a steady boyfriend. Good for both of them.

Jura vs Jellal huh. This should be interesting seeing as Jura was one of the two members of the guild alliance that managed to defeat an Oracion Seis member all on his own.

Besides, I think Lucy's crying is being affected by the magic Jellal is searching for. Whatever their standard emotional response is to loss, the magic seems to be amplifying. Lucy's sadness is leading to prolonged depression, and Gray's frustration led to almost Sasuke Uchiha levels of "they will pay!" Juvia's loss in the Assassins creed game wasn't even all that humiliating, and she's sitting in a corner somewhere.

Damn, Rufus's line in this chapter made me realize he might have the Sharingan. Why didn't that occur to me sooner? It'd explain how "memory make" = "shooting light attack", which didn't make any bloody sense to me before. OTOH, it'd also be broken as hell.

EDIT: Also, interesting that Erza stands by her assessment of Ichiya's capabilities. Maybe he'll do something good this time. (Or Mashima's looking to fool us twice...)

War Cry seems like something for him to amp himself up with pure emotion, and got to work from there. Not that it mattered seeing Orga lite him up like a joint.

For anybody still fascinated by the casts' apparent discovery that they're attracted to all their hot guild-mates.

In the latest episode Erza shows up in her nurse outfit, which is quite the sight to behold, to take over Wendy's healing duties. All the guys get in line, including Natsu, Gray and Gajeel, to be treated by Nurse Erza leading to Juvia and Levy getting angry jealous and Wendy to curse her own loli figure.
