honestly this isn't that big of a defeat for Hades. He lost some of his Kin of Purgatory but he was still able to fly away alive, has some of his troops left and Zeref, the main reason they even came to this island, apparently walked onto his ship.

This weeks Fairy Tail was kind of boring to me, but that's probably just because they just finished up a major arc and now they have to set the stage for what's to come. I did like the final couple of pages with Zeref talking all apocalyptic, that was kind of cool and makes me wonder what's to come, especially now since they've all thought that magic was 100% restored and their enemy has been defeated.
Interesting chapter.
The nice part was really the character interaction. I'm not sure if Laxus is officially back in the guild now. But I'm hoping he is.
I didn't realize that Gildartz is such a joker. I guess this was what he was like when he was younger and Laxus was under him. His face looked hilarious.
I'm enjoying Grey's reaction to Juvia's actions. Lol.
As for Grimoire heart, well at least they obtained Zeref. But in some ways I think Makarov may have placed a hint of doubt within Hades. He's probably not as resolute as he once was to end the world.
As for Zeref's words, I think he might've been a world changer during a time long past. I wonder what that Fairy Tails earth looked like during that time.
I wonder if the world of Fairy Tail the same as the world of Rave. Because it might get more exciting but it also might cause contradictions. Hmm....
Sometimes you lose things which you don't expect losing. It doesn't make the hurt any less.

Man, you could just hear the deafening silence in that room
He lost 5 out of 7 kin, Bluenote, most of his grunts, and his power source (which he can apparently recreate, but still). Zeref hitching a ride is the only thing keeping it from being a crippling defeat, unless Zeref is there to kill them all.

Nice Chapter, but we all know chaste shonen cliche Grey isn't going to tap anything.

wait...i thought ultear's magic didn't work on living things, how'd she rez the tenrou tree?
She used time magic on a tree when she started fighting Natsu in this arc.
Anyways, I liked this chapter. It was a nice light-hearted break for the most part, and some of my worries about what would happen after this arc (Hades turning to the side of good, Zeref remaining relatively neutral) didn't come to pass.
