Why is destroying Fairy Tail explicitly part of GH's mission again? If they know they can just waltz on in, grab Zeref, and get out with virtually no trouble, then why the extermination order?

My Theories:

1. Hades desperately wants to sever any remaining emotional attachment he has to Fairy Tail and his old pupil in order to fulfill his "magic world" goal more efficiently.

2. Hades and GH fear Fairy Tail may have to potential to actually stop them from achieving their goal.

3. For the evulz

4. A secret test of Fairy Tail's ability/conviction/etc.. If they fail, they're killed and wiped off the map. If they succeed (or survive), they're "worthy" of entering the new world GH is planning to create or this all so that Hades might really be trying to motivate them to grow stronger in order to defeat a world-ending menace that only he knows about.

Hmm, let's see what GH has so far, besides Hades the uber-mage.

A time manipulator.
A crazy strong bomber-man.
A Fire God Slayer (that seriously needs to expanded upon).
A dude that can create basically anything from nothing.
A magic-dampening spirit that can summon strong human warriors.

That leaves Meldy and Kain Hikaru. Personally I can't wait to see what those two can do.

I'm certain that Hades has prepared to deal with Zereff. For now at least.

Because it's so predictable and cliché.

While originality may be overrated according to some I'd like to see at least a little innovation. Mashima has a chance to be a little different here with Zereff so I hope that he does something different and not your boring-ass prediction.

Pure speculation:

The island is the secret ritual site for whatever evil thing GH needs to do to awaken Zeref/change the world/whatever.

They are just getting FT out of the way to get rid of possible interruptions.

Yup, I was also thinking the same thing. That maybe Zeref's was the founder of fairy tale.

And there are also a myriad of possibilities on why he'd form fairy tale. One of which is to raise people who could contain his power and defeat him later on. Its not too dismilar from what Taguro did with Yusuke in Yu Yu Hakusho. He forced Yusuke's development so that he'd one day be able to defeat him.

Zeref wasn't suprised about the appearance of Natsu.

I've got to say, I'm glad that the Magic council soldiers had survived. I guess this shows that they aren't weaklings. And it seems the bomb guy has power over wood which meant their ship was a sitting duck from the get go.


Lucy's link with Capricorn is interesting. I don't think she's that out of the loop either. It seems to me that Capricorn was her mother's celestial spirit. I have a theory that Capricorn blames Lucy for her mother's death.

1.Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Lucy's mother die in childbirth. That may be a reason why Capricorn wanted to rip Lucy apart.(Cancel this one out. Layla Heartfilia died when Lucy was 10 it seems)

2. There's also a possiblity that Lucy's mother betrayed Capricorn in the distant past.

3. Lucy's mom and Capricorn were far more than master and servant in their relationship.
-It could mean that there was tension between Capricorn and Lucy's father. (And since Lucy was born from Capricorn's rival in love, he hates Lucy)
-It could also mean that there might be doubt regarding who Lucy's father really is.(In case Lucy is actually Capricorn's)

So what do you think will happen?

Can't say because besides for Natsu beating Zancrow via plotshield this arc has been fairly unpredictable.

I can say a few things that I hope will happen though.

- G.H. beats most of Fairy Tail and Hades stops etherion with some uber-prep spell.

- Gildartz and/or Laxus show up and defeats at least one of the Seven Kin.

- Hades and co get away with a sleeping and still sealed Zereff so that they can awake him, whatever that actually means, at a location that isn't about to swarm with the grand council's mages and what not.

By the way, does anyone believe that Mirajane may not actually be dead?

Its like damocles sword has been swinging all over the place. From Macarov now to Mirajane. Does anyone believe that it will swing a little bit more?
