I love me some Blink. I gotta ask though, why does she carry a pack of those pink shards? I have a few theories that don't involve traditional use of her pwoers, but alas, that isn't ikely to be seen in comics.
Can anyone just snag those and hurl them to *blink* someone away? If not, why not just produce them upon need to hurl? Would it really save much time to carry them? Can they be used as make-shift shanking devices?
So many questions about those.
Also has a maximum range ever been determined?
Are we talking about the same Blink? I'm talking about the 616 Clarice Ferguson who died during "Phalanx Covenant". She was a scared, shy little girl who only managed to summon her courage at the very end to save the rest of the Gen Xers. She's a hero for sure, but I don't know about "warrior born".
The AoA/Exiles Blink may be a warrior born, but I don't think the 616 one was.
That is an interesting question u have there. It does seem weird for her to carry something that she doesnt really need because she can produce them as needed. I believe its for show, the writers wanted her to look like a elvan warrior, carrying a pack of arrows on their back. That is my best guess, It seems like any mutant with long pointed ears, Marvel does something to make them like or be an actual elf. This was said about Nightcrawler, Northstar, and Aurora. There were different past issues where they were called an elf or involved in a storyline where they were decieved and believed they were actually elves, get my point? Either way it does look good on her, so I dont mind if she carries the pack of shards.![]()
her new outfit is hot I think.
very similar to what I imagine her in
minus a hood of some sort
wow.paft.yaiekes!.

I dunno, dont think its been explored yet. I do think it would be kool though if she trained wit Hawkeye or Mirage to learn how to shoot bow and arrows, so she could shoot and propel her shards a great distance. Wouldnt that be awesome? Now that I think of it, Blink is a mutant, but whats her origin? I know she not a demon, so is she an elf maybe? Or is she another race entirely like from space, if so, I wonder how the 616 was on Earth? What u think?![]()

Oh, u do have a good point there, being that she throws them. I hate Bullseye though, he tried to kill Songbird! He would most likely try to kill Blink than train her, unless she could convince him that she is working undercover for Norman Osborn! Now that I think of it, dont u think Marrow and Blink resemble each other? During the Weapon X program, they fixed Marrow where she didnt have any bones on her face. She looked alot like Blink, only she is more feral than Blink, and of course more grotesque. I have to wonder why they brought in Marrow in the mid to late 90's. Why didnt they jus resurrect Blink, she became very popular after her death in Gen X and in Age of Apocalypse.

I have a soft spot for the psychos. Bullseye is asinine enough to try to kill her yeah. Was worth contemplating.
Marrow: They wanted someone people could identify with but still hate on. She had a rough life but unlike the AoA Blink she didn't grow stronger for it mentally, well not in the sameway. She became a cold bitch. Blink has more facets. I think they wanted a pseudo villain who they could use as the obsessive outisder.
Poor Angel and Cannonball.
Blink wouldn't have been as beleivable in those roles. That and it's hard to picture someone pink, being evil. Maybe it's just me. Well, thats not true...but it does make it hard to take them seriously.
At least as a hero with a badass streak, I can accpet that she has a soft side, but when pushed...can and will kick ass. I dunno, might be how my mind works.
I like Marrow...kinda. Anyhow, yeah she did look reminiscent of Blink when she was "fixed".

i thin her first appearance was in xmen 27 during the phalanx covenant....I remember that cause i bought the comic in kmart cause i was bored....and always liked her, whe was probably one of my favorites as soon as i saw her, and I totally didnt buy her gettin killed by her own power..seans fingers were caught in the wave and he pulled them out and was okay.....until he hit that plane....and i always thought Clarice was of ethnic background....NOT an elf...trying to tie her into elfin culture would just be kinda dumb.....But i mean she is from the bahamas
