Somebody has already updated Wikipedia on it. Looks like Wizard magazine was the first boo-boo. I was aware that Winck had made the mistake also. I think a lot of this good be resolved if they'd go ahead and release Volume I in trade paperbacks. Everytime I have a GA question, I have to lug out the old box and sort through a dozen books. Having Grell and Dixon in trades would make life easier.

Yeah, folks, this is just a good old fashioned f*ck-up on my part. Sorry.

To be honest, I probably took on too much work over the last year and rushed, uninformed stuff like this crept in. I have no idea where I got the notion that Shado was Connor's mom, but I did think that. I appreciate the mistake being pointed out, and I hope it didn't ruin the rest of the issue.

I recently made another mistake in SUPERGIRL 20, where I said a veteran of the Battle of Mogadishu was a former Marine, when the people who fought that fight were Army Rangers and Delta Force.

These may seem like small errors, but they show a basic ignorance and lack or respect for the facts on my part.

But now that you know the mistake, you could fix it later, right?

I suppose it could be corrected if this ever gets collected in a trade paperback, but it's out there now, and some bells can't be un-rung. :o

Well you can always write some really cool Connor Hawke story to make it up to us. ;) j/k ((unless you want to, your Route 666 was amazing, and the rest of this issue was good especially the Sin pokemon bit))

Hopefully DC will take note of the error and fix it in the Trade. And also they'll inform other writers (*cough*Judd Winnick*cough*) that Shado is not Connor's mom.

The rest of the issue was really good, I liked it :)

Way to own up to the mistake and not pass the buck tony. I thouroghly enjoyed the issue the Barda Sin Misfit story line was briliant. I have a roommate who is into the pokemon video game so it was doublely humorous for me

No, Tony. It shows your human. If you had no respect for the facts, then you'd never apologized at all.

Personally, I don't think its a big deal at all. Even the bible has mistakes.

Thaks for the clarification, I'm really glad I don't have to scrub my mind clean of Connor makeing out with his 'mother' in his mini LOl.

Mistakes happen and thats fine, there's an awful lot of characters in the CU and some of those have pretty convoluted histories, its just good to know when itis a mistake an not have to be confused about whether its a change in the characters history which has happened in other books.

Okay, this issue aside, I enjoyed 109 and I know many fans did also. So Thanksand looking forward to the rest of your run.

Well, following Gail "I can make any character cool!" Simone and having to fit in two major COUNTDOWN plotpoints (the engagement, someone killing the New Gods) into your first issue can put pressure on any writer.

Heck, a lot of fans probably thought Connor was Shado's son at first. I thought that when he first showed up, and I only have a passing knowledge of the Mike Grell years.

How many people know about Robert anyway? (It makes Barbara look like a Snoop instead of an Oracle.) An attractive female archer having a half-caucasian kid named after Oliver Queen's father would set off all sorts of bells, but he's not the same as Connor. Connor is part of the "crew." Robert is a plot point that might show up during The Next Crisis After The Final Crisis.

Fans on other message boards were angrier about "Dead Lesbian Syndome," despite the fact Knockout was killed because someone is bumping off the New Gods, not because she's gay. But because she's a lesbian, "her death takes on a certain meaning and becomes part of a larger pattern, and that larger pattern is not acceptable," to quote the irate fans. Examples such as The Children's Hour and the Buffy episodes where Willow goes nuts after Tara's death were used.

I hereby promise that will be my last Dead Lesbian.

I've been meaning to cut down for a while now, so this is as good a reason to quit as any.

Gotta go now. Those dead hookers in my trunk aren't gonna bury themselves...

Hi Tony. Hope all is well in your hectic schedule.

Gail Simone used Oracle, Black Canary, and Huntress as her core characters even though there have been guest appearances from other notable characters.

I just have a question in reference to your work and upcoming ones on Birds of Prey. Which characters are you going to utilize as the Core Characters for this title ?

And what sort of voice are you going to infuse on them? By this I mean for example, Gail had a different way of interaction between Babs and Dinah when they're goissiping about whatever, and the way Babs and Selena teased each other.

And is there any chance of having Batgirl/Cassandra Cain appear in the Birds of Prey series, and hopefully not as a villainous Batgirl?

    Thanks for your time Tony.

Babs, Huntress, Barda, Zinda and Misfit are the currently ongoing core team, but my issues will also feature Black Canary and cameos by a variety of other characters who have been Birds or would make interesting Birds. You'll see what I mean. Sorry, though, no Cassandra Cain.
