    Default "BUMP"-'N-UGLIES: Seeley talks "Hack/Slash"

DDP's ongoing “Hack/Slash” series has been building up some pretty big buzz as of late, and CBR News spoke with creator Tim Seeley about the brutal series and its crossover with Fangoria's "Bump."

Great to hear their will be more Hack/Slash coming! I think it's a smart thing for Fangoria Comics to do a crossover with Hack/Slash since the numbers on their books have been so low. This might at least get them past 4000 copies of a book. I think other struggling small companies should do crossovers with Hack/Slash as well. Good luck to all.

And thanks to our "friend" Kenny W. (gruzilla) for once again pointing out our Diamond numbers in a feeble attempt to make us look bad. Love the "struggling small company" jab, too.

Unfortunately for Kenzilla, that's only our Diamond numbers. Our focus and strength has been in the MASS market, in stores like Borders and Barnes & Noble, which make our numbers over 17,000. And the "struggling" a lot easier to take, especially with virtually no returns. ;)

It's just a shame that petty jealousy and sour grapes will make a guy waste his life trying to knock someone else down posting crap all over the net, instead of buckling down and doing the hard work required to make it in this business, or any business for that matter.

Sorry for the post to regular readers, just sick and tired of the same old high school bullshit.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT-
And hell yeah, HACK/SLASH and Tim Seeley rock it hard! It was an honor to work with Tim, and we hope all the readers enjoy the crossover. Thanks to Tim, Josh and the whole crew at Devil's Due!

I pass out my comp copies to my friends and they love Bump, Rage, Fourth Horseman and Strangeland...

I like Horror filled with gore and in the vein of the old EC titles... and Fangoria delivers.

Hack/Slash BUMP is going to be awesome.

Selling 17,000 copies of each book at $3.99 could not keep you in business? I thought that number sounded a little unrealistic. I'm guessing the 3000 copies per book from ICV2.COM was more on the money. I just hope whatever new company that picks up the books gets the "REAL" numbers so they know what they are getting into.
