Doesn't say anything except that DnA have considered it. Still have your eyes set on her going to Cable after WoK?
Also, the Starjammers will apparently be front and centre in WoK according to DnA. I trust DnA, but we'll have to wait till March for the proof. Surely, this at least means that they'll have a bigger role than many of us were expecting (I asked this question in particular for some Rachel fans who voiced their concern about it last month).

I don't think it would matter even if they wanted to use her, the different offices at marvel don't seem to be known for sharing characters except for Wolverine and Spiderman. I think a crossover like this is one thing, but actually giving up an x-character long term is another. Isn't this the reason we never see characters like Firestar?
I think Rachel in GotG would be great!
As long as the X-Office is filled with people who hit puberty the first time Don Heck drew Jean in her green dress costume (or Cockrum drew her in the Phoenix outfit) Rachel will never get treated fairly in an X-Book.
So send her to a book where she can have some spotlight (and she can go rescue Kitty from the magic bullet and they can have space fun!)
I actually think having Rachel in GotG would be great.
1. DnA are amazing writers.
2. GotG is one of the better books being published by Marvel
3. Most of the X-books suck
4. The women x-characters are ignored, those that are not Emma at least.
I don't think it will happen, but I would like it personally.
Read about the greatest series ever, Alpha Flight...from the beginning!
Just say no, Nick! Just say no!
Rachel can go rescue Kitty as the Phoenix, but after that, the cosmic parrot should be gone for a good while. Rachel doesn’t need it. If she did keep it, there would be far greater things she could do than join the Guardians – like a rematch against Emma.
Sorry, Ch’od’s heart belongs to Korvus. Chris Yost said so. He promised Ch’od/Korvus action in Emperor Vulcan, but didn’t deliver.Hopeful the two alien lovers will be reunited in Kingbreaker. The world needs more gay aliens.

I doubt Fraction would give Rachel and Lorna the time of day. I mean, look at Dazzler after all that fanfare. Storm simply appears one one page, and dissapears the next for three issues. I found the issue where Emma searches Scott's mind to be mocking those that want more female characters around. Uncanny X-Men is and X-Fans are a joke to Fraction/Brubaker (who's fortunately left). It's time to understand that the X-Office don't want any strong female characters other than Emma, Storm (as recurring) and backing dancers Armour and Pixie around in the core titles.
They're better off in space for the time being. Or with Mike Carey and X-Men: Legacy (a refuge for character-development). Maybe X-Force for Rachel.

No worries![]()
I'm honestly not sure where I see her, and that's (I guess) my overall issue. While I think she might work well with X-Force, I am realistic in knowing it won't happen. Astonishing wouldn't work well, IMO. And Uncanny is not female friendly at the moment, unless your Emma or Pixie. I kinda like the set-up with her and Po' together, so if they both joined the Guardians or an ongoing group I wouldn't be upset.
I just don't see Earth as a viable option for either of our ladies at the moment. But, I'd rather see Rachel in a series than no where.
I hope they change her uniform. I kinda liked the Marvel Girl outfit... I loved the Phoenix outfit she had in her Cable era.
I hope she grows back her hair. I don't think she should grow the Jeal-length hair(waist length), just a bit below the shoulders.
I think Rachel would look really good in a variant of Jean's Phoenix costume from X-Men: The End.
With a few changes:
-She would have the same hair length but when she goes Phoenix with the symbol over her eye, her head would be a blue flame.
-She would have the black neck piece that Jean some how got rid of later towards the last volumes.
-Rachel would also have the Jean's 616 boots, gloves and belt/waist sash in yellow
-and finally she would have her hound face markings from time to time and the green would be blue
