Rachel Summers/Grey Appreciation

It is aggravating. She is also arguably the most powerful person at the school and if there was any sort of threat or commotion it would make sense that she would be the first to act. I really wish she was on another team (preferably leading it) so we could get more of her POV with everything going on. There is just so much potential there with the upcoming stories it just feels like a waste to not focus on it more.

Here's hoping she's part of a possible adjective-less X-Men relaunch. There ARE more Marvel Now! titles on the way. Heroes for Hire was essentially confirmed by Bendis yesterday (bringing his total to All-New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Heroes for Hire, Powers, Scarlet, and Brilliant. Too much on his plate).

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am by Rachel's exclusion. For all intents and purposes the X-Men as they stand now are Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Kitty and Iceman. Rachel lives and works with them in the same exact capacity. It's a silly, nonsensical omission. Why can't she hang out with Spider-Man like the others? Even Warbird gets two books! We must ask Bendis in his first X-Position.

I'm with you. Also Storm has literally been at the school for a hot minute. Rachel should be an active member of this X-Men squad. She's far more competent than Bobby and Hank. I'm saying that in WatX 24 they won't interact. Rachel won't even be in the book when the 05 are walking around. She be off with Po-Po or in the UK with Brian and Meggers.

i too would like Rachel to have a more prominent role in Wolverine and the X-Men or another book. i feel like with Marvel Now Rachel and Mimic kinda got thrown by the curb.

Right now it's who the writers prefer to use. I don't really see anyone in the creative team at the moment who are big Rachel fans. Editor Ketchum is getting Storm in every book.

I kept going with the Legacy after they came back from space just for Rachel's sake and avoided W&TXM 'cause I didn't wanna get into a "school title". Imagine my surprise when Rogue gets thrown into another dimension during the vs event and Rachel is noticeably absent for the most part. Too many titles and Marvel still doesn't know how to use the characters evenly. Pfft!
I haven't had the chance to pick up the All New series. Does she even interact with Jean?
