Isn't teen Jean using Marvel Girl right about now? Personally, I didn't like "Starchilde" as her aka mainly because the name reminds me of George Clinton.

Jean hadn't gone by Marvel Girl for years. Whether or not she went by Phoenix kinda depended on the writer.

For both Jean and Rachel it would be nice if they could settle on code names but picking one now is kinda awkard. Plus they're both rare comic characters who are better known for their real names instead of their stage names.

It's no wonder Marvel dropped the moniker of White Queen for Emma Frost when she started sleeping in Jean Grey's wet spot.

Well to be fair Emma never really had a code name so much as a title. She kind of held onto the White Queen moniker for a bit even though she probably shouldn't have.

Yeah, that's the same outfit Rachel had when she first manifested the Phoenix Force when she was with the X-Men circa UX199. The re-used it for this What If issue since she had already been shown wearing it. It's an oldie, but goodie. :)

So with the spoilers of todays All New X-Men, how many issues into AXM or WatX do we think it will take before Rachel and Jean interact? I'm not "shocked" they haven't had her interact with Jean, but I think the editors/writers are going to conveniently not use Rachel in any of the issues that Jean is at the school. So I'm saying 6 months. :)

So far since her return these are the "family" members she's interacted/talked with on panel:
Scott - Legacy, WatX, AvX
Cable - nope
Havok - Legacy
Hope - nope, thanks to the retcon of Avengers
Nate Grey - nope, and thank god for that

As for ANX I'm going to say it was Rachel's day off. The first arc will move fast, probably only needing two days comic time at most.

I'm going to say that no one will use them together, Rachel will be on these imaginary excursions when Jean is on campus. Or will just not know when people are hiding things from her.

I personally think it's ludicrous to say one of the most powerful TP users on the planet isn't going to be suddenly aware when Jean is at her school. Or there are two Bobby's or something. But it's par for the course since no one wants to ever touch Rachel and Jean with a 10 ft pole.

I do find it annoying as well, but given how fast the story is moving, it's perfectly understandable why Rachel is being omitted.

head canon for now is that Rachel went to visit Polaris at X-Factor and hasn't simply been aware anything's happened. Alternatively, since New Angel wasn't at the school either, maybe they're on a mission or even off planet right now. It's quite possible they can hold off on the meeting.

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I am by Rachel's exclusion. For all intents and purposes the X-Men as they stand now are Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Kitty and Iceman. Rachel lives and works with them in the same exact capacity. It's a silly, nonsensical omission. Why can't she hang out with Spider-Man like the others? Even Warbird gets two books! We must ask Bendis in his first X-Position.

It is aggravating. She is also arguably the most powerful person at the school and if there was any sort of threat or commotion it would make sense that she would be the first to act. I really wish she was on another team (preferably leading it) so we could get more of her POV with everything going on. There is just so much potential there with the upcoming stories it just feels like a waste to not focus on it more.

Isn't 24 the date night issue? That would be an odd place for the two of them to meet, but I don't know. Though 25 kicks off the Savage Land arc, so I guess that might be their only opportunity in WatXM for a while.

They did not interact. They stood next to each other and didn't even make eye contact. Rachel is not allowed to talk to her "siblings" ever.
