It's just a shame, because along with Kitty and Bobby, Rachel is the kind of character Bendis could probably write quite well without compromising her voice (Storm!!, Beast, Sweetness Emma).

and yeah, I think Bendis would write a pretty good Rachel. But I guess there's not much we can do about it for the first 6 issues. Maybe something down the line will turn up. Aaron doesn't seem that invested in Rachel so she could just jump around Books.

Yeah, I'm not Emma's greatest fan and even I found that incredibly jarring. I can imagine Morrison curling a fist should he ever mistakenly stumble upon that line. It was that and the repetition that ruined the issue for me. "What we're going to do is, Emma is going to..." Just ditch the first clause. God.

Hearing her say "Sweety" made me realise that in his mind, Bendis probably sees Emma as part of the cast of Absolutely Fabulous. It's not entirely wrong, but it's wrong enough.
