Rachel Summers/Grey Appreciation

Rachel and Jean need to have a good bonding moment, like in Excalibur or at the wedding or Apocalypse's future. But I would prefer them not to be on a team together. Neither one would get the proper ability to shine. If / when Jean does come back, I wouldn't mind seeing her run a branch of the X-Men and Rachel working with her (in a Professor X to Scott/Jean relationship circa Gold and Blue Era).

I'm still annoyed that Rachel will not be present for any part of Second Coming. Especially if anything happens to Scott or Cable during it. But I guess this isn't a story worth bringing them back for.

Polaris fans are right there with you if Magneto bites it (again) during Second Coming.

The way I see it if they are starting to plan their return now we are probably looking at a fall 2010 or more likely a winter return for the characters if they decide to push things forward.

If they hit a brick wall along the way or want to wait for the perfect time it might be well into 2011 before we see them again.

Oh most def! I completely forgot Lorna/Erik. My apologies!

Lowe said that we'll see them in 2010. So expect them to show up in a flashback or quick image in December of 2010. That way we got exactly what he said.

You don't have anything to be sorry about, that said I do hope they come up with something after Second Coming, but before the year ends. As you know Polaris fans are also biting their nails proverbially speaking about Lorna appearing at the end of 2010 or 2011 vs mid 2010 is not because they are so egar to have her back they aren't willing to wait an extra couple months, but its all about certain characters potentally not being there when they return.

The reality is that Rachel, Alex, and Lorna's storyline potental will all drop quite a bit if their family on the x-books is dead by the time they get back. I have the feeling when it comes to Scott, Magneto, and Cable at least one and perhaps even two of them might not make it out of Second Coming.

Regarding the return of the former X-Jammers at the moment I see three somewhat positive options.

1. A 6 or so issue return home mini series for the characters.

2. The characters return on Uncanny and then their stories split off onto various comics.

3. A short mini series like 4 issues and then the characters split off onto various different titles to have their individual family stories dealt with.... with whatever members of their family are left alive and still on the X-books.

Generally there's never two telepaths on a team, but if/when Jean comes back, who knows what powers she would have. I'd be afraid that Jean and Rachel on the same team would be too much of Rachel in wannabe-Jean mode, but with the right writer it would world. But I'd prefer them to have some on-panel reunion time, and then be on separate teams.

After the last X-Position, I'm feeling a little better about Cable's chances of surviving Second Coming. But still I don't think he's going to be around in X-books following Second Coming, so the chances of a Nathan & Rachel reunion might be pretty slim for a while.

Noooooo!!!!! it's been too long since the last one. every reunion was such a sweet scene. i remember i didn't even put together the fact that they were related until they brought it up in that excalibur issue. for some reason my brain never connected she met him as a baby.

80s Rachel was the best... I loved when she was mentally unstable! She had really deep thoughts back then too. Now it's all about her parents, boyfriends, wardrobe changes and forgetting how to put up a proper TK shield.
