Can't wait to see what Loeb and Bendis have in store for the Ultimate Universe. Hopefully some new titles for the line. Anyways, I just prepared this thread so the Ultimate fans can talk about it when it occurs tommorow.

What exactly is origins supposed to be about? Obviously it's an origin of someone or a few someones..
Origin of the Ultimate U. Apprently all through out the books they've been laying hints that everything is interconnected. Most of it stems from Steve Rogers and the quest to make the super soldier serum. Joe Q and Bill Jamas, founders of the Ultimate U apprently drew and outline/timeline of it all way back in 2000. This is that story.
I would like to see another Ultimate war sometime in the near future and also Ultimate Fantastic Crossing over with another Ultimate would be great.Perhaps maybe even an Ultimate Ghost Rider with a modern concept with plenty of horror roots :evilsmile maybe not an ongoing but a six-issue arc starting the origins of Johnny Blaze. Just some random ideas :)
I was watching the coverage on G4 and was very disappointed with the actual comic coverage. I didn't really see anything that I didn't already know.
I would like to see a concentrated effort on Marvel's part to make the Ultimate line "ultimate" again. Instead of just being another batch of average titles, this is where they could put those superstar creative teams who tend to run on a slower than monthly schedule.
Case in point: Ellis and Bianchi on Astonishing. This would've been the perfect creative team to return Ultimate X-men to greatness IMO. And isn't J. Scott Campbell supposed to be doing a Spidey project down the road? Put him on Ultimate Spider-man with Bendis for 6 - 12 issues. McNiven and Millar are supposed to be reuniting on a project. How about Ultimate FF? And then, with Loeb and Joe Mad/Ed McGunness on the Ultimates, this would be a powerful imprint of books again.
As it stands now, the only things I'm excited for in the Ulti-verse are the mini series (Ultimate Origin and Ultimate Wolverine). And I'll probably buy Ultimates Vol. 3 because of Joe Mad's art. But this line really ought to be awesome across the board IMO.
A Secret Wars or an Onslaught saga in the Ultimates is not a bad way to make them big again.

Ah, so that's how they're going to get a whole series out of Joe Mad in a reasonable timeframe. It's only five issues long.

kk..So this is some of the things I liked and didn't like.
Uh...say WHAT? The beginning of what end exactly? It would be stupid to throw the Ultimate Universe out."Ultimate Origins" has Brian Michael Bendis with Butch Guice and Simone Bianche. "It sounds like the beginning of something," Loeb asked.
"The beginning of the end," Bendis said.
"Where did it all start?" Quesada asked.
The idea of a X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover sounds nice..I hope that X-Men will have some new characters come in..
Thanks. It would certainly be a great way to make the line relevant again, where every new creative team is a big "event" in and of itself. And the erratic shipping schedules that usually result from high-profile artists (and sometimes writers too) wouldn't be that big of a deal in the Ultimate Universe, as each franchise only has one book dedicated to it.
I don't think they're throwing it out. Loeb said it was the end of "Part One of the Ultimate Universe." My guess is that they're going to radically change it so that it's not so much like the 616.
Which is a good thing IMO, but I still think a better differentiator for the imprint is what I proposed above.
Sounds quite interesting, I'm quite happy about the artists announced for this. Even though my faith in Loeb was crushed with his attrocious run on Wolverine, it seems that he has some good ideas for the Ultimate universe which I'm looking forward to see.
I'm glad they have both Mad and McGuiness on Ultimates 3, seems more reasonable than having so many damn sequels and it's more likely to get out in time that way. I just hope that after the whole big event Ultimates is becoming an ongoing and stopping the numerical thing before it's too much.
Pity they didn't mention when Kirkman is finally off of X-men...
All of this is irrelevant to me,just as long as they keep things as far away from spidey as possible.
But wtf??he is in the new ultimates team??
Why heīs not 18?
Please donīt let joeQ screw this up like heīs going to do with spidey in 616 and that junk that is BND!
