Default Movies You Liked That Everyone Else Thought Sucked

The guilty pleasures or the movies you just think others never 'got'.

Unbreakable - I thought it was a great superhero flick, the most 'realistic', at least. And Mr. Glass is a character I could, as a disabled person, really identify with. He desperately wanted to know where he fit in, and he got his wish.

Constantine - Okay, Keaneau looks nothing like Constantine, but he DID get his personality pretty well. And Stormare's Lucifer was fantastic.

Mystery Men - I'm sorry, but I still think it's frickin' hilarious. It never tries to be good or serious, there is no fourth wall. And Eddie Izzard as a disco king is too damn cool.

There are lots of people in my area that think that I'm completely nuts for loving a completely weird and contentless and strange film like "The Big Lebowski".

The Big Lebowski might in fact be one of the best 100 films ever made. Definitely in the top ten comedies ever.

Speaking of Comedy... Viewed as a Comedy Burton's Planet of the Apes is hilarious and I loved every element of it...

    FRENCH KISS

Awesome classic comedy in the vein of ROMAN HOLIDAY and IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT.

Everybody hated it, and loved FORGET PARIS (which I couldn't (and can't) stand).

I also liked Unbreakable and Mystery Men.

Although for me it's Hudson Hawk. I don't care if it doesn't make a lick of sense, I think it's funny and I love the music.
Lightbringer - The World's First Superhero

Long Live the Revolution! Revolution of the Mask - Issue 2 Now Available!

People think Mystery Men and The Big Lebowski suck? Really?

Fantastic 4. It was fun, flashy nonsense and I enjoyed it. It's not great, but it's an enjoyable way to kill time.

Spider-Man 3. I was all for the oddball dance scene and dark but still nerdy Peter Parker. They were the kind of choices you normally don't see in a superhero movie but someone like Raimi has the guts to do.

    X-Men 3.
I just don't get what all the haters complain about. Except Incredibles, it's the best superhero movie I know, and lightyears better than those childish Spiderman movies.

    Grindhouse.

I thought this movie was a blast! However, as much as I would love to have it on DVD, I'm not sure it would "translate" well.

Kung Pow! Enter the Fist - It was supposed to be very poorly made..

Fantastic Four 1 & 2 - Seeing it with my son helped me in not looking too deeply into it, he enjoyed it, I enjoyed him enjoying it.

Ghost Rider - I don't know enough about Ghost Rider to pick it apart, I found it quite entertaining, plus, I like Nicholas Cage.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail - I have a friend who actually said this movie sucked before the infamous coconut speech was over...some people just never give it a chance.

    ----

On a side note, I thought all of the America Pie films sucked even though everyone else loved it.

I agree completely on Silent Hill. I think it's a stunning piece of work, spoiled only slightly by a rushed ending, some dodgy acting and Sean Bean's horrible accent. I really, really enjoyed it.

Yeah, there were a lot of things that could be improved but I love the atmosphere of the games and I thought that the movie captured that. For me it was just a thrill when the sirens would go off and the world would start changing.
