question I always wonder about willy wonka (For book readers and movie watchers)

was that Crazy ass boat scene in the book

or was that something the Movie guys added due to an acid trip


And it was in the book did they explain it more


if not in the book, did the movie guys ever actully explain that scene

and they said even they dont get it. That just though the guy who played wonka when nuts when they were doing the scene.

Hmm if I remember it wasn't in the book, and if it was it wasn't like it was in the film. It's been a long while though so I could be wrong.
