Default A Day with the Super Heroes at Shriners Children's Hospital

This past Saturday, CBR News spent the day at Shriners Children's Hospital in Los Angeles with members of the Superhero Group, a charity whose members visit area children's hospitals dressed as super heroes.

I've never heard of these guys before. They rock. Big time. Man, I love comics, and I love the guys that read comics. Hell, WE rock. Big time.

Thanks again to CBR for coming along with us on our visit to the shriners hospital. Hopefully getting the word out will convince a few others outside of LA to try to join in and visit some of their local hospitals as well.

    See you all next time!

I know the Vader's Fist Stormtrooper cosplayer organisation does the same thing, and I always thought that was pretty decent of them. Pretty cool seeing these guys doing it too.

That's cool. FanForce Cleveland tried to do something like that, at a hospital a member was a doctor at no less, and were told there were too many insurance issues.

As a comics geek I have to wonder how many of these kids know who the Black Cat even is, as a human being I think it's great what these guys do and I bet the kids love it.

    Well, maybe not this one:

    Poor kid looks terrified.

And YES! A heartfelt bravo to everyone involved. Not only does this look very worthwhile, but it's a great excuse to cosplay, too :)

I really wish I could've been there. But yeah, doing similar things in other hospitals couldn't hurt at all.
