Default Comics (Toys) Should Be Good

I love action figures. Always have. HATE the idea of buying something and leaving it in the bloody box, rip them open and get your hands dirty. Prefer Playmobil to Lego. I'm not into building, just clip on the accessories and play.

These days, I buy comic-related action figures. They come out with some great ones these days. MEZCO, for eg, are to be highly applauded for their Hellboy and Popeye lines. That Poopdeck Pappy figure is great! I also love the Alex Ross JUSTICE line. It serves the purist in me although their Luthor could be a lot better... maybe in a power suit with a purple shirt?

Here is a list of toys I'd like to see:

A line of UNCLE SCROOGE figures based on Don Rosa's designs. (I suppose Barks-design as well, but I want my Rosa's now)

A line of Batman action figures based on the 1960s BATMAN show. How do they not have these yet? Imagine it, the Joker with a barely-concealed moustache. Varient Catwomen.

A KINGDOM COME Bruce Wayne. Complete with exo-skeleton, cane and enigmatic smile.

Shade from STARMAN, in proper Victorian chic.

Any other lines you'd like to see?
The end. Applause. Whiskey. Dancing girls. Exit stage left.

So right and then so wrong...

What on earth is the point of buying a toy and then leaving it in the packaging. That's just speculation - which is for leaches.

But Lego is so much better than Playmobil.

There's already a Spider Jerusalem doll. (Note correct terminology.)

Really, I can't think of any comic character that I'd like to see more in toy form, and DC beat me to it.

I, too, would be keen as mustard to see these.
Alas, Levitz HATES the 60's Batman. HATES.

Still, a series of dollies based on well-known tv versions of their characters.
Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, Adam West's Batman, Christopher Reeve's Superman. How cool would a Superman multipack featuring Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, Kirk Alyn, Dean Cain and Josh Hartnett?

Heh, I love it... though the ones I'd really groove on are probably too obscure to be viable: Milton Berle Louie the Lilac and Vincent Price Egghead.

    Just thought of another one.

A mini Bat-signal for your desk. A real one! Switch it on, see the Bat on the ceiling!
Use it in the office instead of intercom to call over your workmates!
Sure, you'll rack up the power bill switching that thing on and off day in day out, but you can't buy that kind of nerdy euphoria! (except that, you would)
The end. Applause. Whiskey. Dancing girls. Exit stage left.

I used to be big into toys, but then I sort of phased out of them after I got all my favorite Marvel Legends characters.

However, there's only one (non nostalgia related) toy worth it's weight in gold and that is the mighty Stikfa.

That would actually be as awesome as can possibly be. They don't have any sort of miniature Bat signal? I swear I've seen some facsimile of one before, but it was probably expensive since it was a "collectible" and not a toy. Lame.

Roddy McDowell 'Bookworm' for me. And 'Egghead'.
Though I must admit, I'd love a 'King Tut'.

I agree that TV Batman would be awesome. I'd like a JLI series with Kevin Maguire inspired smirks on the characters, W3 figures, all of the original Blackhawks, and a series of transformed Jimmy Olsens.

    Do you mean Brandon Routh?

My toy collecting mostly centers around Transformers and Marvel toys. I particularly like Marvel Legends, and thank any and all deities responsible for the manufacture of the Xorn toy. :)
