I read this over at Pink Kryptonite..

    http://www.pinkkryptonite.com/2009/1...happening.html

I have to agree with the blogger.

Watchmen was in development limbo for years, and I think the same goes for the X-Men.

And sadly, supposedly, we only have until 2012..

End of the world n' all. ;)

Yeah, that little casting tidbit came from a Scream Awards interview with the producers, Dan and Adrian.
I'm pretty sure H/S will be out before the End Times, but I think you also have to remember that Hollywood needs to constantly hype itself to keep projects rolling. But, I assume there'll be hard facts, or a trailer or a poster at least by SDCC 2010.

I kind of like the idea of it coming out on the eve of the end of the world, I think it would be a fun film to see right before things go boom.

and don't forget, Hollywood is having a hard time with the dollar being worth shit. They have to film Green Lantern in Canada or Mexico because of that.

I had missed the last four pages earlier, so I had missed a TOMMY BARTLETT'S ROBOT WORLD reference???

Sadly, according to the website, Robot World is no longer and it just the Exploratory (may have just changed in name only). Grew up in the Dells, but haven't been back in awhile!

    Best songs for a HACK/SLASH soundtrack :
    Eths - Crucifère

    Eths - Méléna

    French is an evil language....

The lead singer, Candice, looks a bit like Cassie Hack.

Does that mean if my pull-list copy isn't waiting for me when I hit my LCS in (knock wood) 4 hours or so, you'll come down & take care of things?
I tend to split superhero comics fans into "People who like Krypto" and "People who don't like Krypto."

Also Hack Slash Vol 6 In Revenge And In Love TP shipped this week!

Also, an interview about the upcoming Wildcats run...

    http://www.brokenfrontier.com/lowdow...talks-wildcats

BF: Tim Seeley will be providing art for the series. What do you think of what you've seen of his art so far?

AB: It’s unbelievable, and if there’s any justice, it’s going to make him a big, big name.

    Default Hackoween 2

They tried to stop us! We’ve been shot, strangled and stabbed! They drowned us, decapitated us, they even burned our bones and salted the ground, and still we came back for more!

Comic book fiends and monster maniacs, part two of the crossover between cult favourite web comic Halloween Man and Tim Seeley’s smash hit Hack/Slash is finally here, bringing you triple the recommended dose of:

BLOOD! Oh yes! There’s blood alright! We’ve got smackdown after smackdown!

DEATH! You want death? Mister, we’ve got death coming out of our ears!

HOT SEXY DAMES! Hello? Cassie Hack’s a Suicide Girl, and Lucy Chaplin is a genius super-scientist with the body of a pin-up! You’d better believe we’ve got hot sexy dames!

GIANT TENTACLED DEMON GOD MONSTER THINGS! Yes, if that’s the sort of thing you like (and we’re not judging you) then we’ve even got one of those!

It's produced by this dangerous squadron of reprobates, maniacs, ne’er-do-wells and amateur ecdysiasts:

    Drew Edwards (Writer)
    David Baldeón (Penciller)
    Scott D.M. Simmons (Inker)
    Marc Lewis (Colorist)
Brian J. Crowley (Art Direction and Letters)
    Russell Hillman (Editor)

Just like part one, it will be available to read online or download as a .pdf at www.halloweenman.com from this Saturday, 31st October - y'know, Halloween?

Want to see preview pages? The press release is up all over the place. Try here: http://www.comicmonsters.com/ftopict-12575.html

Partially reconstructed old punk that I am, I'm wondering if I'm the only one to whom that passage can only be read to the tune of the opening of "The Guns of Brixton" ...

You can crush us, you can bruise us... and even shoot us. But ohhh, ohhh, Halloween Man!

Similarity is a complete accident, but as both me and Drew are Clash fans, we'll run with it.
