Picked up issue 5 today. Good issue. The nudity at the beginning caught me by surprise. How is Kyle not in jail after gasing Todd? From the police confrontion, it seems to me that the police know about it.

Thanks for enjoyin' issue 5!
As fer Kyle gassin' Bobby..basically there's no evidence, so there's no conviction. Kyle does mention that Lisa ruined his life, which, as we'll probably see later, Kyle has been tied up in court for months. But, it's also implied that though the cops are aware the Donovan had helped Kyle out of trouble on the past, no one is quite sure WHAT happened in the Bobby case.
Just read issue 5 ("Love Stories"), here are my thoughts...
Both covers are awesome! The black/red/white cover of Tim's should definitely pop off the shelf.
Boobs. Never been a fan of actual nudity in comics. Sure, it's a fun idea, but then it's actually there, and then I feel like I have to hide what I'm reading.
Chris and Lisa (with Kyle) - At first I excited for Cassie and Vlad to have a Scooby gang, and was disappointed that they didn't feature in more of the earlier issues. I'm over that now though, this issue made me miss having more Cassie and Vlad.
Cassie and Vlad - good to see Cassie taking care of Vlad and making sacrifices for him. No Vlad-isms this time, always look forward to those. Not sure how much the ring really meant to Cassie, even before the lunch lady incidents her mother didn't seem very nice. Another mention of her father.
David and Emily - Very interested in the Crane Institute and their Revanant studies.
Art was solid throughout the issue, as always. A good characterization issue all the way through!
#5: Good issue. Mostly setup, obviously (I mean, the hero hasn't even heard of the villain for this arc yet), but strong regardless. Chris and Lisa were sweet, in a funny, slightly sly way, and the revenant side of the story played out well, with the whole 'how and why did she change?' mystery.
But the five pages with Cassie... they just blew me away. That was really powerful, bittersweet storytelling right there.
Great art, especially the small touches - loved spotting He-Man and Cringer and Voltron in the opening scene :p
