I'm behind so I can't comment on the spoilers, but once every year or two I've just gotta weigh in on Cassie's boobs. I found her hotter when she was drawn more busty, and in recent bikini stuff for example she's looking dangerously less busty. Ha, I know, we don't talk about sex appeal for various reasons, but that's at least 7% of what the book is. I know Cassie is still a 10 to the assman, but just a boobman weighing in saying, hey, she looked rather busty back in the day. Why I think her double D stature in say Hack/Slash vs. Chucky was some of my favorite Cassie art ha uhm I'm sorry folks. What I'm saying is, I would clearly kick Cassie out of bed. And her knees are too sharp, my goodness.

And, ha well this being comics where anatomy is often exaggerated only adds to this being noticeable. Though highly busty characters seem to be under attack lately, and they've gone underground a bit. I'm a filthy man, I'm sorry folks, Cassie has a great personality. I'm just saying, I'd pay .50 cents more a month if her boobs were bigger. My id wrote this post on it's own, I apologize folks.

Ha, hey, if X-Men fans are always complaining about Cyclops looking too skinny, this somewhat admittedly horrifically shallow post should be allowed to exist. Yes, Cassie should eat some more burgers I think. Ha apologies again.

Just think of the media attention and perhaps outrage that'd get. There's no such thing as bad publicity right? It's funny because I would genuinely buy that. But yeah, I remember in the concept art Cassie was originally drawn with shorter hair and looking Tom Boy-ish, and described as having B-cups. Then in the first comic she's looking hot and busty, like D cups. And often even bustier in subsequent books. Now she's perhaps back to B-cups? It's been an interesting journey. Ha, I should say I do find all women beautiful, but hell a man's gotta admit his fetishes. Especially when, well lets face it, bad girl comic art is a fetish of some sort at play here, though the book is genuinely brilliant and cleverly written.

It tends to depend on the artist when it comes to Cassie' breast size. My intent was always that she be slim, angular and athletic with a smaller bust. In my mind she has like an A or a B-cup. But, Stefano made her much boobier, and it goes back and forth depending on the artist, no matter what I try to enforce. :)

As for Cassie, I think Seeley, Emily, and Leister handle her the best, they give her a bit of an ass, a slightly athletic build, and don't overdo it with her boobs. Cassie has always reminded me of a cross between Shirley Manson, Joan Jett, and Siouxsie Sioux. All those women are slender and aren't busty, but are still very sexy and very tough.

I appreciate the honest answer to my pervy post. Though I do think it's a bit interesting that you intend for her to be say an A-cup, and it's due to the artists that they're drawn bigger than that. It's like... what you have in mind isn't what's on the page? Not that I'm complaining in this instance, ha I appreciate those rebellious boob drawing folks. Can I formally request a G-cup supporting character be added to the team? Preferably with an eyepatch?

There's no such thing as overdoing it when we're talking gifts of nature, if you ask me. Also you say Cassie always reminded you of women who aren't busty, but from the beginning for quite a while she was drawn very busty. But yeah, that's art for ya, different strokes different folks. And honestly, this diversion of perversion went pretty well, I guess the Hack/Slash thread is less uptight than other threads.

Wow, I really enjoyed this whole arc!!

I must admit as I was reading this, the similarities to Buffy/Angel were really jumping out at me (monster slaying protagonist looses virginity to reformed killer who immediately turns bad again after).

At one point when he was giving his back story monologue I was worried you were going to reveal it was the act of sleeping with Cassie that broke the witches curse allowing his true memories to return... thank fuck you didn't (I know you've not watched Buffy but that would have been far to coincidental!)

However that twist ending really turned it round for me and made it stand out on it's own and I also loved the fact it took Cassie all of 30 seconds to decide to put a bullet in his head at the end when it took Buffy half a season

I'm really enjoying this book on the whole and much prefer story-lines like this mixing the darker horror elements with homages to bad/awesome movies! Gutted the Gorrillaconda bit the dust

Cant wait for the next arc...

Oh, and to way in on the whole boob argument, sorry guys, but I agree with Tim on the slender athletic build! Maybe settle for a C-Cup!

Tim definitely draws her nicely, naturally, hotter than some other artists. Ha well I'm sure he is hotter than other artists, but that's not the point here. Also, her boobs are more prominent there than in say Leister's covers of #13 and #15. Uh oh I've gotta stop commentating on all the boobs in these pieces of art, I'll go blind.

Have I mentioned Vlad got more green over time? I still find green Vlad a little weird. I'll bet the lady fans out there found Vlad hotter when he was less green. Then again maybe green is in...

That's enough weird art nitpicks from me, after Omnibus 4 is out next month and I catch up on the recent stack of issues as well, I'll totally post about the storytelling and characters again.

I'm hoping Tim does something that brings back both of the Loch girls because well, they're entertaining. I also wouldn't mind seeing Father Wrath again since well, Bobby and Acid have been back, and Jimmy and Lloyd showed up in the Eva crossover, but Father Wrath has been gone since his first appearance, unless you count his nephew pretending to be him.

Speaking of slashers.. Shocker is on now.. whee..

Awesome way to cap off this story arc, nice and dark! I'm definitely interested to see where things go from here. And the parallels to the whole Buffy-Angel-Angelus thing were pretty striking, even though unintentional, but the thing that excited me the most? Hey, look, Libby!

Gotta give props to Jeff's H/S site, he always manages to keep up with the Hack/Slash updates.

The latest update mentions a change coming in the near future when it comes to the creative team.

It looks like either #17 or #19 will be the last issue of Hack/Slash that Dan Leister will be pencilling, at least for awhile.

#18 Features Matt Heroff doing guest pencil work, some of you will remember his work in the Chucky crossover..

I'm looking forward to seeing what she'll bring to the table but although I'm sure she'll do a bang up job based on the work I've seen of hers, I am going to miss Leister's panel work, he really has been doing a damn good job.
