no hack/slash for June 4th i checked diamondcomics next weeks shipping list and nothing and i checked the comic book store i use (midtowncomics) and they update their weekly releases every thursday and for June 4 there is no hack/slash

Okay..then it'll be the next week. we sent it off for press..it's just a bit late, as this one is the BUMP x-over and it took a bit later then we intended to ensure everything looked good for the BUMP guys.

atleast its only a minor delay for it to look good. rather then some comics at other places that are delayed for months just because the writer is busy with other stuff

I just pre-order through tfaw now, far more reliable than brick and mortar stores. I mean most of the ones out here close by 7, that may be great for normal people but I'm not normal..

And I doubt most h/s fans are ;)..

Curious..

How far is the envelope going to be pushed in the annual? The idea of Cassie doing a shoot while a killer is going around killing alt porn bunnies, one could assume it'll be pushed quite far.

But I hate making assumptions..

why is there an issue here being made, Deviancy?

You have no problem with the gore that sometimes happens within the life Cassie and friends endure, but with upcoming nakedness you mention "pushing the envelope"....

Being naked is not an issue. Or it should not be.
Especially in this Annual since it works for the story even!!

There's no issue.. no issue at all..

In fact..

I think the US has it backwards. There seems to be less of an issue with mindless violence than lets say "naughtyness". I personally, when watching movies, rather see some skin than gratitous violence. Not that I mind violence in movies and games, in fact I like it as long as there's a decent story to go with it. Movies like Hostel however, I foundit was just mindless gratitous crap. But that's my opinion..

As for comics, I feel very limited..

There are some great artists out there, Jim Balent included, that put out comics that do take advange of the "naughty". The problem is, they seem to rely on the "naughty" to keep the audience happy and the stories usually lack. I have yet to read an issue of Tarot that didn't leave me with buyers remorse. And I won't even get into how Chaos Comics used to rely merely on the art, the stories always lacked quality. The good thing about Hack/Slash is the story is fun, the art is good, the violence is there, so all it needs is a bit more a push in a naughty direction. So I was curious if the annual was going to get that little push.

But the perfect example of how the US is about "naughtiness" is Josh Howards Eve comic. I read a few reviews of people whining because they claimed he perved the story up, when in reality, all he did was go by the actual story. But it just proves that there are people out there who are even offended by drawings of nudity, which is disturbing.

So I asked out of curiousity.. no issue here..
