I tried reading the first arc a while back. It was pretty good with an interesting plot, premise, main character, motivation, and all that good stuff. However, I'm sadly unable to ever read this book. It is one of the few comics to ever make me sick while reading it (the others are Saga and Parasyte), so while I would like to continue reading it, I'm not exactly up for it either.

Sick how? Too much violence? Sex? The way those types of things are drawn?

It was the violence and gore in how it was drawn that did me in. Again, not a bad book, but not something I could read.

I can get that. And Hack/Slash definitely isn't a book for you then. That kind of stuff is pretty central to it's hook and story telling.

If gratitious violence/gore isn't ones thing, Hack/Slash, Walking Dead, Ferals, and a few other titles won't really be their cup of tea. And despite all three books having a really good story, I can sort of relate to the gore/violence being bothersome. I saw some real life gun/violence a few months back, it turned me off from H/S and a few other comics for awhile. I got back into H/S and TWD but I'm still done with games, comics, and films that are more realistic with the violence/gore.

So is the series really ending after #25? Will it be picked up by someone else. I know Tim is busy these days with Revival and Witchblade.

Cassie will be in a crossover with Ash of Evil Dead fame right after issue 25. And I'm sure we'll see a lot more of her for years, perhaps in another volume of Hack/Slash. Hack/Slashin' for liiiiiiife

Yes. At least the Evil Dead crossover mini series and it sounds like more after that although we haven't got any details.

Yeah, absolutely brutal. Felt awful the whole book. Well done but was hard to read.

A lot of people have been waiting for Hack/Slash and Ash for awhile. Haven't read any recent stuff lately because I've been reading the trades. The next trade should be coming out real soon.
