I wouldn't base my decision on individual cover price. If I like a $3.99 book more than a $2.99 book, then I'd drop the $2.99 book.

I'd drop AvX for sure.
...then do so right now. But not for the x-force story (well if you're in to x-force that's cool too), but for the Deadpool mini-story at the end. A pure joy-ride of awesomeness dipped in epic sauce.
Hi guys,
i wanted to check out some Deadpool stuff. Now my question is, would you start with the ongoing or get some trades? What could probably the best issue to start in the ongoingseries? or what the best trade.
looking forward for your opinions.
thx
I have recently began discovering about the legend known as Jack Kirby.
I thought I will buy a jack Kirby tpb and I'm split!!
Silver surfer mmw 1 or silver surfer mmw 2 which one is more enjoyable and shows jack Kirby's genius?
Not muck Kirby in either.
Pretty good showcases for the genius of John Buscema, though.
As someone already mentioned, the Silver Surfer Series was mainly a Stan Lee/John Buscema title. This was one of events that probably lead to Jack Kirby quitting Marvel. He was upset about the series being undertaken by Stan since Kirby was the one who pretty much ad libbed his inclusion in the Coming of Galactus story.
If you want Kirby/Surfer than you would be better off getting the Fantastic Four Masterworks where he appears. This would be volumes 5,6 and 8
Volume 5 has the Coming of Galactus, which has the Surfer's debut
Volume 6 has the issues where Doom steals the Power Cosmic
Volume 8 has a Galactus / Silver Surfer arc also
"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
"Better" is a pretty subjective matter. The Masterworks are a bit pricey but sometimes you can get a sale, especially at a site like Tales of Wonder..
If you don't want to see a story where the Surfer isn't the main focus, you might want to take a pass on volume 6 where Doom steals his powers and then he's not in the story very much. IIRC, he's more prominent in the stories in volume 8 but he also plays a key role in the Galactus trilogy. It's really up to you.
