I want to start reading some Captain America, what are some "must-reads"?

At the moment I have access to 1-25 of Brubaker's run (I'm a big Brubaker fan) so I'm going to be starting those in the week. I hear he also took over the character at another time too. How do these correlate?

Other than the above, what would Cap'n America fans suggest? :)

    Thanks a lot guys!

Daredevil #10.1 should bring you up to date with Daredevil before Omega Effect, since point ones are designed as jumping on points for new readers.

Alot of people recommend Mark Gruenwalds run. Mark Waids run also gets mentioned.

Does anybody have some similar info for the Avengers?

Good jumping on points, good back story, straight up good arcs...

    You're welcome!

    Yep, here it is.

    Roy Thomas (#36-104)
    Marvel Masterworks: Avengers vol 4-11

Steve Englehart (#105-152. Also wrote West Coast Avengers #1-41)
    Avengers/Defenders War
    Avengers: Celestial Madonna
Avengers: The Coming of the Beast
Avengers: The Private War of Doctor Doom
    Avengers: The Serpent Crown
    West Coast Avengers: Family Ties
West Coast Avengers: Lost in Space and Time

    Stern (#227-288)
    West Coast Avengers: Assemble
    Avengers: Under Siege
    Avengers: Assault on Olympus

    Busiek (1997 relaunch, #1-56):
Avengers Assemble vol 1-5 - This is what I'd recommend for you. Avengers Assemble vol 1 is a great jumping on point.
    Avengers Forever

As for more recent stories, take a look at these:

Avengers: The Origin by Joe Casey
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes by Joe Casey - These two retell the origin and early days of the Avengers without removing old continuity.

Avengers: World Trust by Geoff Johns
    Avengers: Standoff by Geoff Johns
Avengers: Red Zone by Geoff Johns
Avengers: The Search for She-Hulk by Geoff Johns - A pretty good run by Geoff Johns in 2003. Very new reader friendly.

Avengers/Invaders by Jim Krueger - Also quite new-reader friendly, a time travel story.

Mighty Avengers: Dark Reign by Dan Slott - Crazy fun

Secret Avengers: The Descendants by Rick Remender

Default Getting into the Hulk storyline

So I'm quite new at the Hulk universe. I've read a little bit about watched some movies but that's it.

I'm interested in reading more of his story but I do not know where to star.

I've seen a lot of post through the web talking about planet Hulk and WWH.
Giving my lack of knowledge about the character, Should I start with Planet Hulk or should I drop in somewhere else before that?

Thanks for any advice you can give me...

I'm looking for new titles to start. I currently read all the Ultimate COmics, amazing spiderman, scarlet spider, WarX, Uncanny x-force, VENOM!, and planning on starting Secret Avengers at 21.1. I used to read Iron man till stark reslilient vol 2, Thor until ot became Mighty Thor and Journey. Cap until Bucky went on trail, DD till Issue 1 of the new series, Remenders Punisher, and started reading Aaron's Hulk but stopped at 5. On the DC side I read Batman, Red Hood, and American Vampire. And on IDw side I read Nonja Turtles and Transformers Autocracy. Thought I'd include those so people get a idea of what kinda titles I like. ThanksOh I am also restricted to the Titles in Comixology

Definitely check out Rucka's Punisher. It's been bloody excellent. I'd also recommend Winter Soldier. From the DC side I'd also say I, Vampire (since you're reading American Vampire), which is truly a good book.

I was thinking of DD since I've read every Dd before it, reborn and shadowlands just kinda put me off him.
